We thoroughly enjoyed out first overseas family holiday, while traveling with a 3 & 1 year old. The thing that makes Wyndham so special is the generosity of the people who work there. We had so many of the staff take the extra time to make our trip unforgettable and helped us

Ni sa bula from Wyndham Fiji, Wanderer709593, Thank you for choosing Wyndham Fiji for your 5th trip to Fiji. The resort has undergone some enhancements and we hope you enjoyed them. We have invested a lot of time into the gardens and introduced a coffee shop and smoothie bar with a couple more venues still to be rolled out in the coming months. We hope you will be back again soon to see these new dining options. Island regards, Brad Downton General Manager

Hi Regina, it’s very hot and the humidity is fairly high as well. Pack very lightly.. shorts, singlets or tshirts. Light dresses etc. It was forecast rain for a few days that we were there, but it rained once for part of the day and only the occasional shower on another or at night. You can get a Denarau taxi to the resort and it will be 45FJD nothing more. Ask the driver to stop at the local shops to buy some groceries before getting to the resort. you cannot check in before 4pm, but if you are there earlier make sure you have some light clothes handy and your swimmers ready as you can use the facilities before 4pm.. the front desk will give you a towel.. enjoy and you will not stop saying Bula.. (hello).. Steve & Boo

Hi, Totally agree with CaptKirk's response - spot on. We did exactly the same for supermarketing and meat. Meat still not cheap but it is good quality and far better than anything else you will buy that is prepacked in shrink wrap and expensive. If you are there over a weekend there is also a fruit and veg market in nadi (straight across from where the bus stops). Fruit and veg is cheap. We took a small suitcase of dried food with us, crackers, packets of rice, noodle, cereal, pasta etc - basically anything that is pre packed is allowed (except cheese). Catch the yellow bus - tickets can be purchased from reception for $2 each way each person. Like the others said buy your water. You can get this cheaper in Nadi but its heavy to carry back so you might want to utilise the on site store (which is expensive) or go down to the shops opposite the entry to The Golf Club (easy to walk). There is a convenience store there that is cheaper than the on site shop - there is wine is cheaper as well:) . If your keen and you have a taxi driver that doesn't mind - negotiate your price from the airport first and then tell him you want to stop off at the supermarket on the way to get water - that's what we did and gave him an extra $5Fiji for his trouble.

Take as much food for the children as you can, baby food, snacks, cereal, biscuits etc. Take your coffee/tea as it’s very expensive in the super markets, you can even take your wine if you drink it because it is VERY expensive. We went to the markets in Nadi for fresh fruits and veggies but with 2 little ones you may only want to do this trip once as the taxi will end up costing you about $40 to $60 for the trip the bus is a lot cheaper but getting back on the bus with groceries and 2 little ones might be more hassle than it’s worth, we mainly shopped at the grocery store at the marina and the other one in Denarau( I can’t remember the name) meat is expensive though. The bakery at the Marina is very cheap for bread (cheaper than Aus!) we also used uht milk because it was cheaper. I hope this helps
