From the minute we arrived to the minute we left all my family and myself felt so welcomed. Facilities are amazing, fully equipped apartments with washer and dryers, dishwasher and more... you name it Wyndham have it. Food and beverage service was fantastic, want to make a special mention to Seruvi, you really looked after me and my family any chance you had. We all loved seeing your smiley, happy face daily and we hope to see you again next year when we come stay at Wyndham again. Keep up the great work Seruvi, Wyndham are lucky to have such a genuine & honest staff member on board

We had the most amazing 10days in Fiji - Wyndham Resort. The staff were the most amazing people we have ever met. We were always met with a smile and 'Bula'. The serenading, lighting of the torches, kids club, fire dancing and the island visit were our highlights. However, the Fijian staff are what impressed us the most. Nanise K looked after us with meals, and every time she was rostered on we were met with a friendly smile and the kids loved when she made an effort to say hello to them. The kids club staff were A+ (Matt, Ratu, Tokasa, Mere, Mala -(sorry if I forgot someone), they would say come and say hello to the kids, even when we saw them around the resort. They were AMAZING! Our kids did not want to leave, neither did we. What a wonderful memory we have, and we will be back.

Spent 8 nights here and loved every minute of it,
Staff are incredibly friendly and the pool keeps you entertained all day.
Rooms are spacious and very clean with awesome air conditioning.
We got some meat from the local butcher and had a delicious bbq next to our room.
Loved the restaurant for breakfast and mamacitas is def worth a try, especially the litre margarita !!!!
There is not really a beach but a day trip out to the islands makes up for this.
Wyndham never disappoints and look forward to coming next year!!!!!
Thank lewe52

Let me start by saying the resort was fabulous. With our timeshare we had a two bedroom/ocean view and we couldn’t have be more pleased. The room was perfect and we were so thankful to have a view of the pool/ocean.

We found the Beach Shack to be our favorite place to eat as the Mexican restaurant was not pleasing. Even on the buffet/cultural evenings.

We loved the bartenders at the pool. They quickly remember your names and we all became fast friends.

Now for some tips:
* We read a ton of resort reviews on here and bought our alcohol at the duty free shops outside of baggage claim at the airport.
* Grab your cash at the atm outside of customs!! You’ll get the best exchange rate there.
* The on site market was actually just a little over what you’d find at the grocery stores. Not a huge cost difference on the staples. Remember that grocery stores are NOT what you expect. It’s worth paying a few cents more simply for the convenience. If from the US, bacon is about 7.00 US and you get 6 slices of “streaky bacon”. :)

We were surprised to make it to the hotel reception and find my spouse’s watch missing. With a double clasp, this was not an easy watch for someone to pilfer. It was seen as we approached customs and gone by the time we made it to the hotel. Quite unfortunate and quite impressive that it could be taken. Lesson learned.

I wish we had known more in advance of traveling to Fiji. We expected when we arrived we would have been able to drive a short distance to find the picturesque beaches. Don’t get me wrong, you probably can, but Denarau Island is a man-made island.

As we drove from the airport, we passed many villages and the amazing people of the island. We were told we were crossing “the gold bridge”. It was actually a small white bridge but the point being the money is on the other side. You cross the bridge and we were instantly met with a beautiful golf course, million dollar homes and a slew of resorts. I get it now!

We took a taxi from the airport and while a little more expensive to return to the airport, the ride and conversation was worth it. Be prepared to pay about 45.00 to get back to the airport.

Fiji consists of over 300 islands. Apparently over 170 of these islands are uninhabited. The big island of Nadi is large. We were told it would take almost half a day to drive completely around. Much larger than the Hawaiian islands we were used to.

With 10 days planned, we spent only a couple days at the resort itself. We found ourselves taking an island excursion almost every day to find the beach beauty we pictured. We definitely found it but more important, we found the beauty of the people!! Had we done the research, we probably would have island hopped (like many did).

Recommendations:
Malamala Beach Resort. Splurge for the private cabana!
Kuata Island. Do the shark snorkeling! Amazing.
Whale’s Tale: highly recommend. Just a great experience and a ton of fun!

We went to the town of Nadi one day and we were met by a nice young man who started up a conversation about the market we were headed into. He wanted to show us the real Fijian stores and began guiding us to a store with “authentic Fijian gifts”. Note: it’s same wood souvenirs that you find in all stores but with extremely jacked up prices. We laughed at ourselves for following him down an alley and up some back alley stairs, only to spend some
ridiculous amount of money to support these guys trying to make a living. In the end, it was a harmless experience. We had a history lesson on Fiji, experienced our own little cava ceremony, and left with the feeling of “oh well...we learned something”. Advice here: Don’t engage in the convos if you get off the yellow bus. There are a slew of these guys who take you to the places where they gain a cut (stores, travel agencies, etc.). You could see the guides walking around with unsuspected tourists everywhere.

In the end, we can take something from this culture. The people are simply awesome. Everywhere we went, Bula was expressed and the hospitality was genuine.

Thank you! Thank you for showing us an amazing time and we definitely have memories to last a lifetime.

Yes, how many would depend on your booking room size. Eg. 2 Bedroom sleeps 6 so there would be 6 blue towels
