The resort is well laid out with a stunning entrance and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are good but smaller than they appear in photos. Complimentary laundry was welcome. The breakfast buffet has too many options and its quantity more than quality. I would have preferred a smaller variety but better quality. Check your bills, we were charged $300 for a massage we did not have (it was cancelled when we brought it to their attention)

bula vinaka! I planned our holiday in Fiji to propose to my now fiancé. From arrival to departure our stay at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa was beyond perfect, it was paradise. The staff are the most beutiful and friendly people on this earth and provide such start studded service, I would like to thank Bulou, Don, Apisalome, Lita Mafe, Ateca, Melinda, Elenoa, Kini for their amazing hospitality. The poolside is by far the best part of the resort, everyone has enough space to find their own spot and lounge in the warm fijian hug of the sun. The loungers are clean and the towels are fresh and well presented. The pool plays lovely music and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to truly relax. The staff roam with canapes and cocktails from 5-6pm and you may switch to other alcohol they provide if you wish. The resort offers a tropical and lavish garden surronding the resort from the majestic view of coconut palms, to tropical banana trees and flowering native trees. The landscaping and maintance of the grass and jungle is top notch and a gardeners envy. The beaches and general pathways are clean and well kept swept and as if no person besides you had touched them the day after. The food was delicious, from the Waitui grill & Bar, to the Bazzar buffet and the Solid Resturaunt the food was of the highest standard, offering À la carte or buffet style dining. You are provided at the Waitui fantastic pieces of art for breakfast whilst at the bazzar the options are endless from Western, Asian, Fijian to fresh salads and fruit. The food was to die for. Fijian night is highly recommended not only for the amazing singing and dancing of the Fijian natives but the fijian food itself fresh seafood and lovo dinign is a must the Kokonda is utterly mouth wateringly good. The mini bar is well stocked and the trade system for swapping beer for wine or other items is ingenious not only to stop the waste of food but to ensure you have the best stay. The housekeeping and turn down sevice are done by the friendlies and warmest cleaners and are of the highest standard I have witnessed the rooms sparkle each morning and night due to their tireless hard work and attention to detail. I want to thank all the staff from the very bottom of my heart for making this trip truly once in a lifetime experience for myself and my fiancé, you have made our whole experience something truly wonderful. This was my second stay at this resort and from the moment I arrived, I felt like a VIP. The room, the restaurants, amenities and the service was all world class and to a very high standard. So I will definitely be back for a third visit! Due to an unexpected delay, my flight arrived late in the evening. However, Asena at the resort’s Bula lounge at Nadi Airport made sure I was greeted, checked into my room and my transfer to the resort was available and ready to go on my arrival. This is what gives the Sofitel the X factor over all other resorts on Denarau island. This was customer service to the highest standard. I stayed in the prestige suite and it was clean, spacious, comfortable and very well appointed with no sign of any wear or tear. The view of the beach from the balcony was absolutely stunning. The complimentary mini bar (restocked daily!) and daily laundry was also a nice and convenient touch. My only feedback to the resort is to allow guests to have more control over the room thermostat. I found the lowest temperature setting a little too warm for me. Breakfast at the Watui beach club was fabulous. A decent selection of hot meals were cooked to order with a continental buffet. The highlight would have to be the Mimosa station. It must’ve been 5pm somewhere right? The staff at the beach club were all amazing and they made all guests feel like VIP’s with a genuine and personalised service. They were all warm and attentive to every need. The poolside service was absolutely on point. As a solo leisure traveler, I really appreciated the warm banter too! The complimentary cocktail hour in the evening was excellent with a generous rotation of cocktails and canapés. I had access to the Executive Journal Lounge, and the afternoon high tea was terrific. A great selection of nibbles and refreshments (you guessed it- more bubbles!) using local ingredients and a showcase of the diverse cultural cuisine in Fiji. If you are at the Sofitel Fiji they have a great service called the pillow shop. In the shops are there is the pillow shop with the lovely Merewalesi. My husband hates soft pillows so we went there to check out our options. Merewalesi helps you work through what pillow is best for your issues. They charge $80 Fiji to your room then when you take back at the end of your stay they reverse the charge. If you have an early flight you can also take back to reception and they reverse the charge. Just make sure to take your receipt that Merewalesi gives you back when you return your pillow either to reception or the shop. What a great service and Merewalesi is just lovely.

Excellent family and couples resort. Typical of Sofitel layout and service in the Asia Pacific region, there is warm service, nice architecture and beautiful views from the moment you arrive. Solis restaurant is a particular standout for the quality of food by the beach. Jet Ski tour around the islands is a must. Kids club is great for the little ones. They are very friendly and have a lot of variety including water splash play and a zip line. The pillow lady Merewalesi can help you have a great night’s sleep.

Fantastic resort. The staff are amazing. Beautiful views across the water. Rooms are spacious with current trend decor. Plentiful choices for dining. Easy access to the Marina and 20 minutes to the airport. You even get to choose your pillow.

Awesome place for a family gateaway. Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff and plenty of kids activities. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. Special mention to Tima R from Housekeeping for decorating our room for our special event on a very short notice. Tasty breakfast buffet with plenty of food options and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

I had an exceptional experience at the hotel's pillow store. The concept of offering pillows with a bond is innovative, ensuring a good night's sleep. Merevalesi, the pillow store hostess, was incredibly nice, friendly, and provided a warm welcome. Her helpfulness added to the overall positive atmosphere. A 10/10 experience that made my stay even more comfortable.
