The Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, replete with live music and personalized touches that have charmed guests. While opinions on value and service vacillate, with some guests mentioning affordability and attentive staff, and others noting overpriced elements and slower service, the resort's prime location for relaxation is consistently praised. The cleanliness of spacious and comfortable rooms is often acknowledged, though a few guests have encountered housekeeping inconsistencies. Moreover, the resort's amenities, including luxurious pools and various dining options, are popular among families and leisure seekers.

GREAT EXPERIENCE
Just returned after spending 7 days at the resort celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. We have been to Fiji several times and generally stay at the Coral Coast but decided to try the refurbished resort for a change.
There were a few negatives in that they are still gearing up for crowds so there are still some faults. The rooms themselves are lovely but we had gyprock dust on the back and front of our bathroom doors and this was never cleaned up. No info book in your room to help you navigate the resorts facilities and room service if you needed it or contact numbers. The resort advertises spa and massage services but you have to walk a fair distance to the Westin which is closed due to renovations to utilise this service. We had a package with My Fiji and the free golf costs $75F for 18 holes for hire of the clubs. Also, whilst the resort is very modern it does lack some of the Fijian charm by way of decor and entertainment. No beach massage but one available at the Radisson but we didn’t find out until the last day.
But there are many plusses. With your choice of three eateries, the food was excellent. The buffet choices were endless and each night at Island 619 there was a different theme. The Tavatu whilst not changing its menu was delicious and you it is brought to you on the beach for lunch. 28G coffee bar for a small area was delicious and had quite a good range if you were not after a big lunch. The Tavatu was not cheap for dinner though, a 300 gram steak costing $250F. The rooms were very modern spacious and comfortable. The beach is cleaned every day and there a number of shops on site. There is even a Fiji Airways check in at the hotel which makes coming home a breeze. You check in your bags get your boarding pass and walk straight in at the airport, awesome. You need a PCR test within 72 hours of arriving from Australia and a clinic is right outside the hotel, very handy.
But as people have said, the staff are AMAZING. From check in to cleaning staff to staff in restaurants, everybody greets you with a smile and of course a bula!!!! Jessica in 28G was delightful, Lia in Island 619 was always smiling. We had an issue in our room which was resolved very quickly by not one but 3 staff including managers and then we were treated to a free dinner in the Tavatu for compensation and they could not apologise enough, outstanding customer service. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the lady on the front desk who helped us initially but every day she would high 5 us and check that everything was okay. The housekeeping staff even decorated our bed on our anniversary and the staff in Tavatu presented us with a special dessert and sang to us, incredibly special and something we will never forget.

We just spend 7 nights at the Sheraton and would highly recommend this. The staff are amazing and always willing to help.
There are two pools - one of which is adults only. There was plenty of seating with shade while we were there.
They have two main onsite restaurants. The breakfast buffet was enormous and had so many different options. The restaurant is open aired so it was quite hot while we stayed. The restaurant also does a themed dinner each night and the amount of food at that buffet is also ridiculous!
We were on our honeymoon so had the Kabana dinner which can be organised through their other restaurant Tatavu which was an amazing 5 course dinner.
The room was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the air con worked amazingly.
The location of the Sheraton is great with the Bula Bus taking you to the port but also other resorts in walking distance so that you can try their restaurants as well.
They use the Westin Resort Day Spa and this was fantastic. My massage and facial was great. These rooms are open aired but have a ceiling fan above you so it is not hot while you have your treatment.
Would 100% recommend staying here

We had booked 2 nights at the hotel knowing we would actually be arriving early the morning of the second day on the flight from Los Angeles. I called a week prior to let them know and was assured that this was not uncommon. Nonetheless it was very pleasant to arrive at 0630 and be warmly greeted with "we've been expecting you". A short but intense burst of rain accompanied our arrival which resulted in one of the staff driving us to the unit which was appreciated.

The room was pleasant and well appointed although a towel was placed inside the door facing the sea which was obviously a testament to the power of the storms (this was just around the time the cyclone veered off before hitting Fiji).

We ate at the Island 619 for lunch (okay food, service a bit slow even for holiday time), the golf club restaurant for dinner (food excellent and service pleasant), and the Tatavu Grill for breakfast (food and service both excellent). One thing which North Americans need to expect is that a bottomless cup of coffee does not instantly arrive at breakfast but rather has to be requested and re-requested for a second cup (but it was very good coffee). Small point, not a problem.

In our experience it is when things don't go perfectly that hotels and the like can make or break it and in this case they made it. We arrived back from dinner on the one night we actually slept there and found a large puddle of water in the middle of the hardwood floor dripping from the ceiling (and presumably from the AC unit). We called the desk at 2130 and were impressed when the evening maintenance man arrived about 15 minutes later. Clearly knowing how the system worked he opened it up, found the problem (hose had come loose), remedied it, and asked when we would be out in the morning so it could be permanently fixed. Given that we were prepared to live uncomfortably without AC overnight this was a really great response and we were suitably impressed.

Overall a very pleasant stay; when we checked out we told them we had to sit in the lobby for a couple of hours before we went to the cruise port and we were (twice) offered water and asked if we needed anything else while we waited.

I honestly could not speak of the Sheraton more highly. I have been there 3 times over the past years where it has always been amazing however after a massive refurbishment the place looked absolutely incredible. The rooms were beautiful and very well cleaned with room service coming routinely every day. Checking in and out was made so easy by the front desk staff and everyone was so lovely. There are also so many activities in the resort along with an amazing kids club so everyone is entertained. The food was amazing as was the buffet breakfast which I would highly recommend adding to your booking. The resort also features 28g, a coffee and food bar which I thought I should mention how affordable it is! Along with the restaurants in the sheraton, the resort is in such a central location which means you can access other hotels along with the port nearby which means you are not stuck in the resort - even though that wouldn't have been a bad thing!

The amazing staff members were the highlight of my trip and I would just like to use this review to highlight the ones in particular who made my trip so special and a lifelong memory. Firstly I would like to thank Adi and Manasa for their help from the front desk. Adi was amazing when checking us in and out and even provided us takeaway breakfast for the airport. Joe, Jone, Adi and Naisua made our nights by serving us at the Takatzu restaurant. Vin made our breakfast so enjoyable while Jonacini always made sure we had an amazing morning coffee at 28g. Kitti, Alex and Jacobe made our trip by always providing laughs and buggy service - another highlight of the trip - a massive thankyou to these boys. Lastly, the staff from the recreation department are people I will never forget. Mariana and Salome are the most beautiful people who will take wonderful care of your kids as Mariana took care of me when I was a child. Pesa, Zac, Bill, Peter and Ralph took care of everyone in the resort with their activities and positive energy. I have honestly never been to a resort with such happy staff and these people have taught me things I will hold onto for life.

In summary, Fiji Sheraton Denarau is an amazing stay and I could not find a single bad thing if I tried. I have stayed at multiple resorts in Fiji and Sheraton is by far the standout and never disappoints. I will most definitely be back ASAP!

I booked and paid for my stay 5 nights up front ($4800 Fijian - approx $3200 Australian. I was greeted very casually and asked for a further $1500 deposit for any expenses I might incur. The receptionist hardly made eye contact and no smile. I raised this with the duty manager but even though I raised this on day one of our stay, I was never contacted by the manager to check in with me to see how my stay was going. The room was very everage with very minimal amenities. There was never a day when the room was made by housekeeping and was replenished without me having to call and ask for a floor mat or missing robe or towel. Absolutely pathetic service - upset my entire trip and felt my money was completely wasted. The name of the Duty manager was Sumeet and the receptionist that did not smile I think his name was Silvester or something along those lines. Please don't waste your money going to Sheraton- you're better off next door at the Raddison Blu... everyone was very sweet helpful and went out of their way to assist.

Bula Vinaka bazmas, Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Sheraton Fiji Resort and providing your valuable feedback. The welcome experience sets the tone for the entire stay and I apologize that it wasn't up to our usual Sheraton standards in this case. We do hold a certain amount for any incidentals incurred during the stay, in case a guest wishes to avoid this, we also have the facility for guests to "pay as they go" at each of our dining venues as well as the spa. We have also addressed your concerns with our housekeeping team to ensure that the issues faced by you during daily service of the room remains an isolated case. Providing the highest level of hospitality is always our main endeavor and I apologize to have not met your expectations during your last stay. I would humbly request you to give us another chance to serve you during your next visit to Fiji and allow me to be your point of contact so I can personally ensure that you're well looked after by our team. Vinaka Vakalevu & warm regards, Sudhir Yadav Hotel Manager, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Sheraton Denarau Villas

The pools are fantastic, the beach actually does have a swimming side, contrary to what agents tell you. The morning walk is a must to enjoy the view.

Staff are Fijian friendly and helpful. There is nothing the staff won’t do. Everyone was absolutely amazing. Peter was so enthusiastic at water aerobics that’s it’s infectious, Arieta at reception, so beautiful inside and out , Alemeci took care of our room and the chefs at breakie so wonderful and accommodating to dietary requirements, not to mention Meredith at 28g who made us some yummy crepes. Lounge open during the day with refreshments, some muffins etc…

In terms of food, it is very pricey and the portion is not representative of the value paid so I suggest port marina or get some munchies from the market. We ate at wet edge and barely turned our heads and they cleared our table, even taking away our drink we hadn’t finished- was obvious they wanted the table. So unfortunately not much good I can say about the food and choices. I do however highly recommend the buffet breakfast, it a must, absolutely amazing.

The location is great, 20 min to Nadi town centre and 5 minutes to port denaru….catch the yellow bus only $1 or the open bula bus $10. Peter was so enthusiastic at water aerobics that’s it’s infectious, Arieta at reception, so beautiful inside and out , Alemeci took care of our room and us and the chefs at breakie so wonderful and accommodating.

There is a kids club but not big in comparison to other places. This hotel is a luxury escape for adults really.

In terms of cleanliness and room, all good. Although maybe a few tweaks can be made. Broken curtain and plumbing might need a little looking at. At one stage we had abundance supplies left for us in the room and other days we were lacking but as soon as we called guest services attended to us asap.

In terms of the hotel, wow! The drive up to lobby factor will leave you speechless! Spend time at reception, it’s breathtaking. The open plan spacing that they have done at the Sheraton makes it so beautiful and truly relaxing. The gym is well equipped and set in beautiful surrounds.

Overall we had an awesome experience. You will not regret booking here. Definitely recommend the hotel and all the activities.

I booked via my fiji…not as helpful as luxury escapes and communication not great but the my fiji fast track is a must. So will use them again
Suggestions would be to increase food choices, maybe something a little more plain for the unadventurous, get a mic for the instructors so they don’t need to yell, perhaps a water slide in kids pool ( will be coming with kids next time) and a shelter over the pool and a clock…if you have activities at set times, it makes sense to have a clock near the pool. I also suggest some more chairs with umbrellas near the pool, gets really busy.

The Sheraton has only been open a few months after a major refurb & of course the dreaded Covid. I'd stay here again without hesitation. It's a beautiful resort & perfect for families where the kids will have a great time while you relax. The location is perfect with easy access to the port of Denarau (flat walk 15 mins, get the bula bus or a taxi) & Nadi (the yellow bus). Great restaurants at Denarau.

The staff are openly friendly & engaging esp Peter who amongst other things runs the aqua aerobics.

There was a few minor hiccups & little 1%ers like a room charge being applied for 3 days that shouldn't have been but we monitored that & it was resolved by reception without hesitation, water not being replenished, fire alarm in the middle of the night with no staff around to tell us what was happening, drinks not being delivered or taking over 30 mins to arrive but sit back relax go with the flow it's Fiji time and everything works out. Surprisingly there is no happy hour so we just went next door to the Radisson.

Breakfast was sensational and the food at dinner if you choose to eat at the resort was very good but a little exe. 28G is a great place to get a good coffee and snacks during the day.

Fiji Airways has an office at the hotel where you can check in for your flight and drop your luggage off which will be taken to the airport, cleared and loaded onto the plane and you'll pick it up again at your destination - what a great option for hassle free travel.

Bula!

Consider if this property and some others in the Denarau area are for you.
We have been coming to Fiji for many years for the rest, tranquility, and relaxation that has been rarely available at most Australian resorts. After an absence of almost 5 years due to circumstances and COVID, we decided to come again for relaxation and tranquility.
Well, what a mistake we made. The only thing consistent was the convivial, happy, and generous nature of the Fijian people themselves who work at the property.
It seems that the Marriott Group has taken over the management of the resort and turned it into a Marriott Bonvoy Club resort for families with small children and folks needing budget meals and constant entertainment.
Tranquility has gone out the window. It is now loud, boisterous, and completely lacking in anything resembling a relaxing atmosphere.
The food in every venue has descended to the usual offerings of a reasonable Australia RSL or Leagues Club with the emphasis on quantity, over quality, and principally served in Buffets.
If you are seeking quiet relaxation, with restaurants serving something resembling a 4 - 5 star restaurant for a lovely dinner, this is no longer the property for you.
For anyone who on previous visits, enjoyed the flexibility of being able to eat at any of the major properties along the Denarau strip and send the bill seamlessly back to whichever hotel you were staying at, sadly that facility is also no longer available.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel venue, with average food, no beach, but only pools which are always crowded, with families with small children, and the only peaceful place being your hotel room, then this property is for you.
What sort of resort puts a 60" TV in the centre of the view you have paid for of the sea and beach? Da!

Travelling back to back over the last four weeks where we stayed at Sheraton hotels throughout with exceptional service, Denarau location was nothing but disappointing. As Elite guest checking in the front desk didn’t know how to manage our reservations and request. Having two rooms with two different check out dates were mixed up. We approached the front desk 3 times to get it corrected but didn’t happen. Spoke with Sharrol manager on duty who assured us it was corrected and day of checkout both room keys didn’t work. Again went to the front desk who informed us it was never corrected. Felt like we were doing numerous follow up to get things corrected.
Housekeeping, where do I start… day 1 everything was great, the next 4 days we found ourselves running after housekeeping to get towels. With rooms with 4 guest each they would only place two towels, no hand towels or mats. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash nothing replenished. It was a nightmare especially with children and coming back from swimming having to track housekeeping down. We did have the head of housekeeping come and apologize but this was the day before we were leaving.
Pool services sucked. Zero service by the pool. You would have to wave staff down and they would look at you but finish their conversation and then come to you. Service was painfully slow!
Our 5 day stay here was frustrating and exhausting. Majority of the time we found ourselves using facilities outside the hotel and eating out.
I would give this place a 2 star rating it giving it a 3 due to the chefs who went out of their way to cater for a celebration dinner that had dietary requirements.
There are a lot of operational gaps at this resort. Training and coaching is a concern but the management needs to step it up. There are SO many managers at each level that to get anything done you have to go through multiple people, which causes delays and frustration. Seems like their process is extremely micro managed. They need to empower employees to make decision to avoid customer service issues. I hope this location steps up their game and provide the same level of service that other Sheraton/Marriott properties do.

7 nights stay with what one can described as perfect weather.
Arrived late on day 1, grand picture worthy lobby, welcomed immediately with a drink while checking in.
Then swiftly taken to the room and a quick tour of the room.
A quick drink at the Tatavu bar/grill, entertained by live music which finished around 10pm.
Courtesy staff but everything was winding down.
Day 2 started with their buffet breakfast at island 619, usual spread but if one is accustomed to lavish Asian hotel breakfast, you may be disappointed.
Pool area was nice equipped with umbrellas and semi good shading, but the view of the ocean was stunning.
What was disappointing was guests claiming tanning chairs and area with their towel for almost the entire day. I think this should be better policed to allow other guest to enjoy the facilities.
Pool staff were fun, engaging especially to the kids.
I was fortunate enough to experience a welcome drinks hosted by the management team and met a few of their management team.
Buffet dinner at island 619 are themed nightly, adequate but have to say it did not wow me.
Attended their farm to fork (first since Covid) which toured their small organic farm nearby, traditional feast and Kava ceremony. Kudos to Paulisi, well organised, very engaging.
The rest of my time were spent pool side, drinks and pool food.
Room underwent major renovation during Covid, so very modern feel, plush beds, good entertainment systems (Chromecast), internet speed was adequate.
Housekeeping was good, but timing is a bit odd, no real set time but apparently you can request specific time etc.
Daily replenishment of complementary water which is always appreciated.
On check out, there was a dedicated Fiji Airway check in at the resort, but what they failed to let you know is there’s a cut off to when baggages are picked up. Be sure to enquire!!
So clearly I missed the baggage pick up window, so on check out, a special mention to Aesena, she went above and beyond to try and bring my prebooked transport early! She tried until the last minute and managed to bring it forward by a bit which was enough to goto the airport and make the bag drop time. Her dedication to her job should be commended.
In my opinion, there were a lot of positive aspects of my stay and a few areas of improvement as what you should expect from a Sheraton chain beach resort.
I will consider to return to this resort for a very restful holiday.

It is best to buy the large bottles of water available at the local shops. Although we were given water each day you still need to use the large bottles for cleaning your teeth & boiling the jug.

Yes, you can get a roll-away bed, but there may be a small charge for it. Suggest you book it before your arrival to ensure one is available for you as there are lots of children, especially during Aussie school holidays.
