What a delightful hotel. Recently renovated and well appointed. Breakfast is a beautiful spread with attention to the little details. Such a pretty location with views from all the windows. Fabulous location.

Nice hotel, room with seaview, friendly staf, excellent breakfast and dining facilities. Near boatterminal. We enjoyed the beautiful nature of Vlieland and had a nice activ short holiday. We visited the nice lighthouse, beautiful view of the isle of Vlieland. Make the trip to Vliehors and look for the seals explor Vlieland by walking or with the bike.

Terrace with its view on the harbour is comfortable and splendid. Service adequate and friendly. Drinks and food quite pricy. As soon as you have booked a room though, the real money drain starts. The room cramped as a rabbit hutch, and not at all like shown on the pictures. Furnishing is basic, lighting inadequate. Bathlinen worn. No 'courtesy' coffee,...

We wanted to have fish for lunch since we are at a fishing town. There are three fish dishes on the menu so we ordered all of them, definitely recommended, but it is a bit pricy. I had the Sea Devil with risotto, that came with fries and a vegetable salad. The view from the terrace is beautiful.

Terrific spot, the hotel feels like you are on an old ship in some ways. The breakfast looked pretty good but I did not eat that day. The parking is a bit of an issue but it gets figured out. So close the the boat to got to Terschelling.

Being able to choose the right season it would have been much more enjoyable stay in this family hotel. But travelling for business you do not have the option. It was winter, outside was very cold. Getting in this hotel I found the right temperature due to the kindness of the people running the hotel. The restaurant deserves a visit:...

Very nice hotel, fantastic restaurant. Surrounded by the waterways and tall ships, Must be really good in the summer. If you can park in the street opposite rather than pay the high car park fees charged for their carpark

We walked in without a reservation and were set up with room 106. We paid 120€ with breakfast included which I found a bit pricy for this area. However, the location of the hotel is gold so we agreed to stay for a night. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The room was a bit warm so we...

Hotel Few days with baby and a dog. The room is new, view to a wall... No micro wave or boiler to heat the baby food. We had to pay big extra for the baby and the dog. Restaurant the food is great with a beautiful view. Service at the restaurant is very good

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Restaurant Zeezicht is situated at the old inland area in Harlingen just across from the Ferry point where the boats to Vlieland and Terschelling depart. The hotel has the inland and the sea at one side and on the other side, it is situated beside the historical Elfsteden (11 cities) town of Harlingen. Harlingen is an old city of commerce that did very well during the golden age. This is noticeable by the number of beautiful old homes to be found within the city. Since June 2009, the Wadden Sea became an UNESCO World Heritage Site and is equated with famous nature reserves such as Yellowstone Park in the United States and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. On the roof of the Hotel Restaurant Zeezicht are solar panels thus all the electricity used in our business comes from a natural source so we try to contribute to the environment as much as possible. Hotel Zeezicht was opened in 1905 and served as a guesthouse for the many ships’ crews that passed through Harlingen Haven. In 1983 the Hotel Zeezicht and Restaurant expanded by joining with the adjacent monumental building “The Sea Castle” of Harlingen. The “Sea Castle” has a long history in Harlingen and played an important role in the development of the city. During the golden age a notable society club called “Seeburgh” was established at “The Sea Castle”. “The Sea Castle” was only accessible to dignitaries and was inspected by a strict high commission. The society discussed important decisions concerning Harlingen. Nowadays, everyone is welcome at “Hotel Restaurant Zeezicht.” ... more   less
