Restaurant close at 8.30 PM wich implise no food available in evening. Perfect if you are on a strict diet or alcoolic since they prefer to sell booze than food to their guest. When we have asked for food they answered " take à a beer and go go sleep". So class and respectful...
It was my fourth time in Thailand until I discovered Ao Phrao Beach Resort in Ko Kood: The perfect remote and quite locatiuon at the most gorgeous beach in Thailand! I am so in love with this place and will definitely come back. The food, the lovely staff, thw beautiful garden, the most perfect beach, just devine!
We decided to move here from a nearby resort. It pales in comparison but comes with a similar price tag. Garden view villas are prefab style more Butlins camp than tropical beach hut. We asked to see a see another room with a view to upgrading but it instead of a bed it had a mattress on the floor. Beach is nice but water is choppy in comparison to more secluded inlets nearby. Wouldn't recommend.
We have been moving from koh chang to koh kood but we count bad the days and we havent booked one night. So it was really fast booking to find something for one night. The price was the most expensive we pay for all our thailand trip. The rooms smell not so good bud it qas quite clean. Kitchen was not good. We didnt like it there so we rather go somewhere else. One thing was very nice and it was beautiful clean beach. That was allright
We spent three nights here on our first visit to Koh Kut and found the resort to be considerably better than several reviews from a few years ago. Ao Phrao Beach is almost at the furthest distance from the pier where you arrive, so expect a 45-60 minute songthauw transfer (included in the price of all BoonSiri catamaran tickets) The resort sits in beautifully maintained and colourful gardens right alongside the beach. It's quiet and peaceful. The staff (Cambodian?) Will try their best to help. Midweek, only around a third of the bungalows were occupied, though numbers were much higher at the weekend. The beach is perfect soft sand, about a km long, shelving very gently into the sea - perfectly safe. Beach beds, snorkels, kayaks all included. We tried several restaurants at this and other resorts - not much to choose between them. The nicest bangalore were the recently constructed Garden Villas, with an interesting and light interior design; a range of other bungalows were older. Yes, you get some Russian visitors ... and Chinese, and French, and Swedish, and Dutch, and British, and Thai - all looking for a remote beach holiday experience.…
