This is a very clean place with a peaceful atmosphere and the food is excellent. I especially recommend their fresh fruit smoothies and their Massaman curry. I ate here several times alone and with a group. My experiences were consistently perfect.

here i am again with another positve experience. This authentic guesthouse is situated on short walking distance from the city centre and markets. It is build out of wood and has spatious rooms with fan. The guesthouse manager is a very kind lady from Bangkok. She has been very helpfull on recommending places to visit and her cooking skills are excellent. I tried several dishes (pad Thai, curries) and they were all delicious!!!

Basar Guesthouse in Trat is a very simple but unbelievable charming Guesthouse with kind and helpful staff that makes you feel very comfortable . In the Little garden that belongs to the Guesthouse you can relax, listen to the birds singing and enjoy your breakfast. The rooms are simple but clean and very charming and the mosquito net provided in the rooms will protect you from any unwelcome guests. The perfect place to unwind !

This was probably the nicest room we had anywhere on our three and a half week trip. Huge, characterful and with a nice terrace and hammock. We'd only booked one night and wished we could have stayed much longer. When we arrived, the restaurant had just closed. But the warm and friendly owner instantly said that she would cook for us, which we really appreciated after a long journey. My friend unfortunately left his glasses behind when we left. We managed to contact the lady to check that they were there, and she packed and posted them on for him. We tried to reimburse her, but she refused payment, saying that she just liked to be able to help us. Such a lovely gesture.
