The family suite we took was nice clean and cosy with a veranda for barbecue . The setting is like a fairy land where kids will enjoy . Ideal for family gathering . We stocked up food everyday and cooked as restaurant was below standard . A Great value for money place if you enjoy outback camping kind of experience with comfortable heated place for stay. Snow experience was lovely . 7 mins to Phoenix Olympic ski resort by car . Staff was always very helpful . Will return again .
The staff (Judy) was really helpful and quick to respond. As first timers in Pyeongchang I had a lot of questions and she was so patient to explain what's available, how to go about etc. The resort is out of the way from town so the only food available is from the resort restaurant (quite expensive but nice) or you can bring your own. The chalet is equipped with a small pantry/bbq pit. The beds were not exactly comfortable but can make do. Would have appreciated more pillows though. No other toiletries except for shampoo, towels, and toilet rolls. My daughter loved the animals in the small zoo although we think the animals are in need of a warmer home and more food (they were shivering and always hungry). Overall the resort is clean and a nice place to visit.
After spent a few days in Seoul, I went to Pyeongchang for skiing/rest. I stayed in this hotel for 3D2N. The hotel was located on top of the hill and surrounding with the trees/hills. It was a pleasant experienced to be in this mother nature. Very quiet and relaxing after a hectic journey from Busan to Seoul to Pyeongchang. How to get there (by bus): From Seoul, you need to get to Gang Byeon Subway station on Line 2 the green line and go out of exit number 4 and then cross the street and go straight to get to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, from there you need to buy tickets bound to Jang Pyeong bus terminal, which will cost you around 11000 won per person. After arriving in Jang Pyeong Bus Terminal, you need to take a taxi coming to the resort, the cost for the taxi would be around 16,000 won (one way per taxi) Facilities: The resort was a complete gateway facilities which they a have a lot of houses type, rooms or dorms depending on you preferences. Since I was in budget, I booked a cheaper room but the it was a beyond my expectation. The resort has a complete facilities from cafe, mini shop, pool, mini zoo park, hiking trail, ice sledding etc. In the room that I stayed, they have kitchen (you can cook), private bathroom, tv, wifi and balcony. I was able to experienced a snowing at night. Magical!!! Activities: If you go there during winter, you can go to the nearest skiing/cable car area at the town. Just let the receptionist booking for you then they will arrange it. During summer you can hiking/jungle trekking. Improvement: One thing that I think they can improve is restaurant/cafe at the hotel. For me it was a quite limited menu offered and if you want to eat something else you have to go to the nearest town by taxi.…
We visit this place after the winter Olympic on 10-12 march 2018 we took the Airport limousine bus from Incheon airport to the Pyeongchang highway service area and took a taxi to the resort. Great advise, recommendations and service n hospitality from the staffs at this place. Would like to thank Judy for the prompt response to our emails and questions. Wonderful experience and beautiful place to visit.
We stayed here during the Winter Olympics and the staff were incredible! They were so helpful and friendly, helping us figure out how to get to all of our events, always providing a car or a taxi whenever we needed it, bringing breakfast or ordering food for us as well. It was a beautiful environment all in the snow and very peaceful surroundings. Perfect for what we needed.
