Fort Ilocandia is the first hotel built in Laoag but is very well kept. Hallways are a bit dark but it adds character to the hotel. When you first arrive you will be welcome by a grand staircase and huge chandeliers. Makes you feel like you're in a different world because the hotel looks so grand. Smooth check in and...

The Fort Ilocandia experience was what I expected. A grand hotel with beautiful setting and swimming pools. Hotel and rooms are aging. I had trouble connecting to the hotel wifi. The breakfast was primarily Chinese. Coffee and tea pots were not make fresh. Room was very comfortable. Price was high. With a lower rate, I would stay there again.

Stayed here with my family for 3 nights. The rooms given to us were old style but the new ones are in room noumbers 300 onwards. So, if you are planning to stay here just request for those rooms. If you have your own ride explore the other places in ilocos norte like the poaoay sun dunes... a must try...

Fort Ilocandia is still the best hotel even if it's old. It offers a lot of things to do at the hotel you can ask the list at the lobby. Try to have a beach walk at sunrise it's really nice. It is also suitable for kids because it has a mini zoo.

Woke up around 1am because the room was warm despite airconditioning. Called feont desk to check the airconditioning. Nobody came. I asked for an electric fan. Nobody came. Around 200am somebody came to check the aircon and said filter was clogged. They asked if I would like to transfer room around 230am.

Let's start with the few pros: free and good wifi connection, staff are nice, landscaping done well, close to the beach. Now, the cons: first of all, the hotel is old, built in 1980s, and has not been well maintained on the interior. The rooms are outdated, dirty, the beds are hard and uncomfortable, and the bathrooms are disgusting. There's...

Location is wonderful, quite and not overcrowded on extensive and very beautiful grounds! Swimming pool is attractive and well maintained, as is the rest of the hotel! The breakfast s very decent with a number of choices.

Probably the best hotel in Laoag despite there being criticisms in trip advisor. I stayed here just one night and enjoyed my stay. Booked via Trip Advisor - deluxe room. Arrived at the hotel about 3pm. Bellman was present to take the baggage and I proceeded to reception for check in. Receptionist was very friendly - and helpful. Nicely deigned...
