Dirty tap water from check in. This place needs a lot of improvement to live up to its name as Rio GRANDE! Houserules should include the limit of noise so as not to disturb other guests, like people talking so loud as early as 5 am as they have to travel to pagudpod.

Dirty, Old, intermittent water supply. Terrible is an understatement if you would like to describe this Rio Grande de Laoag. From the moment we set foot from this Hotel, we felt like we were being duped.

Worst and most insulting accomodation we've had, not worth the money (P7,000/night) your paying for. Smelly - Hot - Filthy - Cheap - A customer service nightmare for every traveller... We want to file a formal complaint to their baranggay but we don't know where, their staff insist that they also don't know where the barangay is. Wow!!!

When we arrived at the hotel, water was color orange and rusty! The swimming pool was color green and full of insects! When we need something from the staff at around 930pm, the staff personnel were nowhere to be found. The roads at that time do not have any lights, so it was creepy. When we were able to talk...

Far from the city center and a bit run down. The rooms are cheap, so you get what you paid for. We enjoyed their package though, as the tour was well worth it. We had our own private van and the driver served as our tour guide/photographer. The wait staff at the hotel needs training - at night they are...

The rooms are musty and damp. Bath shower stalls show black dirt and milldew along the rails. Tour arranged by hotel is not par excellence. Incomplete sites to see were omitted. The tour director left everything to the calesa driver to complete the Laoag old homes tour.

A long way out of town. No taxis in Laoag so be prepared to squash into a "tricycle", a motorbike with a type of sidecar designed for small people. The hotel is in a delightful setting, out amongst trees and gardens, and it has a nice pool. The room was damp smelling and very small.,To get into the bathroom we...

During check-in I was charged with an extra 700 for a room upgrade that was not part of the initial discussion during the booking. The place was very difficult to find. The rooms smelly musty and not ready. We had to wait for at least an hour for the sink to be fixed because it was leaking. The pool has...

“Try the bagnet sisig at Cafe Uno, Vigan. The mixture of spices is just exhilirating!!! From Vigan City, take a side trip to Sta. Maria Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This church is worth a visit due to its baroque architecture and historical sighnificance. The town of Sta. Maria is only 30 minutes from Vigan and is worth the trip. Of course, do not miss another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Paoay Church. Check this out in the evenings where the lighting will leave you breathless. Try the Pinakbet Pizza at Herencia Restaurant right in front of this church. Don't forget to spice your pizza with bagoong!!!”
