Once upon a time this was probably a reasonable hotel. Now, after what looks like many years of neglect and no investment, its all rather sad. Mould all over the ancient bathroom walls, lumpy bed, indifferent air conditioning and awful sound insulation means that a good night's sleep is unlikely. Views over the mountsins are excellent but the balcony restaurant by...

Many reviews have pointed out the outdated areas, but there are many lovely aspects of this hotel. The breakfast/bar area overlooking the river with a fire in the evening - the place to be! There's the cute elephant statues at the entrance, with frogs croaking at the pond nearby with the giant goldfish at night. We loved the view from...

My partner and I have been in this hotel for the first time and I have to say it has one of the most magical views of all Vang Vieng. It's just next to the river were you can enjoy a great view of the sunsets with a beautiful Laos landscape. The hotel is not new but the room have...

We went with our family. The views on the water were amazing. Loved the restaurant, however the customer service needs a lot of work. The rooms were somewhat clean, but there was mold on the walls and in the bathroom. The sink was falling off the wall and the toilet flusher and TV were broken. They were under construction (not...

Unfortunately the neighbour building was undergoing development. No pool. We got a room facing the river and mountains. Very nice view. But the sun came in the afternoon impossible to sit there. And no reflecting curtains. The room got very hot. This hotel seems outdated. Needs renovation. And climate control. The staff nice. The breakfast ok. Dinner good.

Very poor security, limited and poor quality toiletries, loud music, run down, tasteless food, musty smell from mattress. This hotel is best suited for low budget young travellers but is a disappointment when having paid for 3 - 4 star quality on a tour

We spent two nights at the Elephant Crossing Hotel in Vang Vieng and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating and the rooms to be nice and clean. If you have a river front room the view is beautiful. However, the rooms themselves truly need some tender loving care. Some of them are very old and need some updating....

We stayed there for 2 nights, to explore from there the area. You could sense that there have "better" times. BUt rooms are clean, service very nice and supportive. It is bit out of the touristic area, which e enjoyed. Excellent food.

A basic hotel with fantastic views of the hills and riverfront. Room didn't feel clean with dusty floors. But bed and linen were clean and comfy. Bathroom ok but no hot water which was disappointing as I had read in the reviews that at least there was hot water for showers. As we were on the 5th floor we didn't...
