Basic but clean bedroom which was spacious and on the corner affording superb views of the sunset behind the mountain... and in the morning, equally impressive. Breakfast poor, unless you like egg and bread. Reception staff in different. Unless you are part of a tour, my advice would be to check out other places... Location excellent in town by river.

Vilayvong has wonderful views from the upper floors where you can enjoy sunset on the balcony. Rooms are clean and spacious with TV, fridge and ac. Bathroom has a good shower and unlike most Lao bathrooms, it does not point over the toilet. Lockers are provided by reception for valuables, most require a padlock. No breakfast was offered and we...

Very bad staff: they acted rudely whenever they had to take out their earphones, because they spend all day watching movies at reception. We had to wait 2 hours for a late bus and they kept waving us away whenever we interrupted their movie. Language is always an issue in Lao but these guys are just lazy, and kept giving...

My towels werent changed, bed is not comfortable. I already stated in the booking that I preferred one large double for bed but when I came, a staff told me that I booked two singles and gave me two single beds.

Vang Vieng doesent have much to offer when it comes to luxury so we decided to scrub it on this visit. The reception was nice and the staff very helpful when checking us in, safety deposit boxes were lockers behind reception and shoes were asked to be left outside. The rooms were better than expected and featured a TV, large...

Stayed here with G adventures in one of the bungalows for 2 nights. The room was very basic but it was okay, the only issue was that the door didn't quite fit the doorframe, so we were concerned about mosquitos). The bathroom was poor, it was a wet room and the sink drained onto the floor and into the drain....

Terrible experience. First, as a tourist they only show you the bedrooms with highest prices and only if you know and insist to see pricey options they show you the bungalows and if you choose this option they start ignoring you. No clean linen, untidy room with even used soap at the shower and almost no cleaning paper for toilet....

The town is fairly small but I would say this hotel is in a great location even considering the size. It is a 2 minute walk to breathtaking views of the river and surrounding mountains, as well as a 2 minute walk into town. We stayed in the villa, accommodations were comfortable, no issues of cleanliness. Doors and windows were...

Stayed here as part of a g adventures tour. I didn't expect much from the outside but was pleasantly surprised. As with Laos culture you have to take your shoes off at the door. The guesthouse has a nice 'open-air' feel to it. The room, again, was better than I expected. There are no lifts but I didn't expect there...

We stayed as part of a group tour. Guesthouse was ok. There are no lifts so be ready to climb up to 4 flights of stairs. Rooms are big and basic, air conditioner just worked and when it rains the rain comes in through the windows. Breakfast was not that great. View is amazing out over the cloud covered mountains....
