Our family recently stayed at Laikipia Wilderness Camp for 4 nights. Steve and Annabelle (camp operators) are warm, relaxed, genuine people and we couldn't fault their hosting. Between them and their staff, they have created a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere, where nothing is too much trouble. Unlike many of the more well known safari areas in Kenya, there's a sense of... Our family of 3 spent 4 wonderful nights at Laikipia Wilderness at the beginning of November. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Annabel and the boys but Steve, Hannah, Mugambe and Steven looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. We went out on early drives, walked, night drives and during the day. Steven has the most amazing... More

Fabulous, fantastic awesome 3 nights safari. All staff are absolutely amazing, brilliant guides. Being woken up by a lion roaring(sounded like he was just outside our tent) on our first night to elephants passing by on the last night what an experience. the elephants at the dam(never seen so many in one place), finding the wild dogs & following them... We had a fabulous time at this camp -- it was truly one of the best safari experiences we ever had! We came to this camp hoping to see wild dogs, and they more than delivered. We saw them three separate times, including one hunt. It was thrilling to chase after the dogs in our jeep -- I almost felt... More

We loved our stay here, so much to do, never a dull moment. Great for Kids. Hosts were the best, food superb and the tented rooms perfect. Lovely hot showers, fluffy towels, comfy beds, everything you need for your bush adventure. Wildlife everywhere!

Wonderful four day stay at Laikipia Wilderness. While entirely comfortable, and with excellent food, this is a light-footprint and authentic camp (no infinity pools), with half a dozen tents connected by winding paths to a larger communal mess. Big game all around while we were there: elephants grazing within a few feet of our tent at night; lion roaring on... More

This camp is wonderful, intimate and homely. The rooms are comfortable, the food is lovely, and the hosting friendly and jovial. We were there primarily to see the incredible wild dog, and we were given a fantastic guide who worked incredibly hard and pulled out all the stops to ensure that we not only saw lots of dogs but we... Absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We tracked the wild dogs daily which is unique and unforgettable. Steve and Annabelle provided a memorable and tailored itinerary which included bush camping, walking safari and bush brunch at a local swimming hole. We felt part of the family, enjoyed their wonderful cooking, hospitality and great service all delivered without fuss. Can't recommend... More

We were here back in August 2015. I arrived with my backpack (with all our safari clothes, underwear etc.) having been lost by the airline! Annabelle was most help and kind and loaned me clothes not only for when I was at their camp but also when I moved on to another! Such kindness. So the family feel of the... More

This was our second stay at Wilderness, about a year after out last visit. We knew what we were getting, what to expect and what we had come back for but it was still an experience that exceeded our expectations in every sense. This time we returned as a party of eight which included some who were visiting from Australia... More
