I saw this place online and thought I'd visit while in The Gambia. My main reason for going was because it is situated on a tributary off the Gambian river so ideal for fishing and relaxing. The place its self has seen better days but the views are second to none, waking up with the sun rise and noises of... More

We arrived here one morning to stay for 2 nights. We knew it was basic and dont have a problem with this, it is cheap so you get what you pay for. We have visited previously just for lunch so know theres not a lot to do and its a place to relax and enjoy the river. The food was... More

This place could be fabulous. But it's not fabulous, it's average unfortunately. The staff are friendly, hardworking and attentive, the location is beautiful but...the rooms are in dire need of some money being spent on them. We stayed in a VERY basic room which is just at the edge of the water (or in it, at high tide) And the... More

If you come from a hotel to this, you might have a problem, but if like me, you have been staying with the locals then this is LOVERLY. What you see when you google this place is exactly what you get. But there is ore. Lamin takes great care to look after everyone - even offering his own jumper on... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Waking up to the sound of birdsong, looking out across the river is an experience not to be missed. Very quiet and lazy. Really friendly and helpful staff. Fishing off the end of the restaurant pier and have your catch cooked for lunch!! Well worth the trip inland even if you only stay for... More

Really a great place. Picturesque location on the river. Gorgeous sunrise. Friendly staff. Spacious bungalows located in the mangrove. Nice wetlands around. Would definately come back. Highly recommended.

We had loded forward to visiting Bintang, but the reality is that this is fast falling apart. The staff are very good ,but are working with poor materials The food was good and the drinks cold, the view over the river is great, but the rooms are degrading to the point where they need major work. Would we stay again... More

Great place next to river. You will find great food, nice people and a calm village to visit. They have rooms with a river view, actually you can jump from your terrace to the river. I totally advice visiting this small village and going on a boat trip. I've already visited the village twice. Just love it!

The location is unique and views are stunning. The bungalows are basic and really need a bit of renovation but they are clean. The restaurant serves great food and staff is very friendly. Lamin the receptionist is doing an excellent job. He is interesting and very knowledgeable.

Once your expectations are adjusted properly, you will have an experience of a lifetime in an authentic minimalist natural environment on an African river. Understand from the beginning that this is NOT a hotel. It is a minimalist wilderness eco-lodge without many comfort and conveniences due to its authenticity. Once you get over your pampered Western ways, you will experience... More
