I went here to check out for future stay. Wasn't impressed by servers, menu at grill, their ability to seat more than a few outside tables for food and drink. Beautiful grounds at lodge. Unimpressed by shops. Presently staying at the Evergreen lodge. Do yourself a favor, unless stuffy is your thing, try somewhere else

Dear Frank C, I am disappointed to read that you were unimpressed with our servers, menu and shops as well as found us stuffy during your recent visit. I am hoping you would be so kind as to provide me with more information as to why you were unimpressed. The more detail we have, the better we can address deficiencies....

The Ahwahnee experience is amazing. Our room had amazing views of the valleys icons. Sightseeing in the area was always a new adventure with the wildlife, towering redwoods, beautiful flowering dogwood trees and the Merced river. The waterfalls in the area are a plus in the springtime. The dining room is first class and the staff is there to go...

From arrival until departure, we experienced nothing but the finest hospitality at the Ahwahnee. The setting is without compare and the history associated with the venue is highlighted at the same time that it is complimented with comfortable modern updates. Highly recommended!

The Ahwahnee is ageless, and in a class on its own for its location and the bones of the place. The views from even basic rooms are absolutely astounding, and the building was clearly built decades ago with the thought of taking every possible advantage of the surroundings. New Year's Eve there is incomparable. That said, the operators could take...

The Ahwahnee was a stunning property to stay in. Historic, great staff and wonderful setting. Our room as a cottage out back, which I would recommend if you want peace and quiet. I'm not going to lie, the rooms are old and maintained as best they can be. If you want luxury and expect flawless quality, you will be disappointed....

The Ahwahnee was a throw back classy hotel from another era. It was clean and made you feel like you were back in time to a more civilized and elegant time. It was great. I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone. You cannot go wrong.

The Ahwahnee makes a trip to Yosemite more memorable. It's in a class by itself. It's not cheap, but then quality, uniqueness, charm, history and great memories don't come from staying at 2 star hotels. The Ahwahnee adds a flavor and element to your Yosemite visit.

My wife and I recently traveled to California for our 10 year anniversary. We visited San Fran, Healdsburg, and Yosemite. Our 3 days & 2 nights in Yosemite where by far our favorite part of the trip. What made it so special was our stay at the Ahwahnee. A friend that had just returned from Yosemite regreted staying outside the...

We visited the hotel staying for three nights, and have to admit our expectations were not met, having read the multiple reviews in making the decision to stay here. The hotel clearly capitalists on the unique location, charges accordingly for the luxury of staying there, but does not provide the goods for the price charged. We stayed in a cabin...
