This hotel is very nice like many of the reviewers have said. We stayed in one of the cottages. Yes, it was overpriced, especially considering the amount of time you actually spend in the room or hotel since you are most likely exploring, but I understand it's because it's inside the park. However, we found the location in the park...

Wow...what a place and not only because of where it is situated. The views from the hotel are truly spectacular. Well worth the money and if you can't book online or through a travel agent because it is supposedly booked a year in advance - call them direct. That's what I did and got a better rate as well. The...

Could have stayed here much, much longer. We had a beautiful room, comfortable bed and exceptional service in all areas. The price per night is pretty steep and it takes some time to get reservation, but we would definitely do it again. All seasons are special here. In the lounge there are two huge fireplaces for use during the winter....

This was to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with costs above our normal expenditure. Both the hotel and its location were fantastic. The lounge and dining room were stunning and the views throughout were fantastic. This must be one of the most jaw-dropping resorts in the world.

DNC (Delaware North) has a tight monopoly over lodging in Yosemite Valley. Your options for lodging are limited. Lodging with in-room baths are even harder to find. So, if you plan on staying in yosemite valley and showering before you leave your room, you'll probably be choosing between Yosemite Lodge and the Ahwahnee. Both will probably be booked a year...

Good afternoon breadfruit, Thank you for your very descriptive review. I am disappointed that we let you down. You make some very good points regarding the registration process and Concierge. We too agree that there needs to be more decorum in the cue for "the next available agent" and will implementing ropes and stanchions to help aid in that organization....

Tranquil and lush surroundings. Nice restaurants. Close proximity to all the equipment rental and activities. This was our first trip. We stayed at Tenaya lodge the night before. Ahwahnee has more old school feel to it.

Expensive but well worth it. Old and lacking modern amenities but beautiful old structure and wonderful location. Food in Ahwahnee dining hall surprisingly fantastic. Food and drinks at bar area awful--be sure to avoid! Service throughout was absolutely outstanding. Wifi is like dial-up era slow. But c,'mon--you are in Yosemite. Don't complain!

The Ahwahnee is a classic national park lodge. Grand, natural public spaces, smaller rooms (but more than adequate), and a fantastic dining room. Sunday brunch is not to be missed, it is really nice. The location is spectacular, take a stroll to the river and soak in the views of the valley walls and Half Dome across the meadow. Force...

We loved our stay at the Ahwahnee, five nights altogether. Our party of 13 included all five grandkids and their parents, and two of our dearest friends. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with dinner in the Ahwahnee dining room. The food and service were great, well worth the cost.
