This was my first visit to Yosemite and the Ahwahnee Hotel. The hotel staff was great, everyone from the bell stand to the front desk to the room attendants were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was honestly a little disappointing for a luxury hotel. I travel quite frequently and was expecting a Four Seasons level experience given we...

The Majestic Hotel is by far the best hotel on the Yosemite Valley floor, and likely the best in the entire area. This historic and grand hotel is situated in prime nd no doubt saves previous time during short visits. As with all historic hotels, the rooms are.... old. Power points were sparse (but available), and the rooms are lacking...

Visitng and staying in the hotel is a big treat. We had a great room and view. Very attentive staff. But the meals in the dining room were terrible (to put it nicely). How could such a great hotel prepare less than standard fare? We have been told that it is due to the recent change of management. So if...

A night at the Ahwahnee, now renamed the Majestic, has been on my bucket list for years. So granted, I had high expectations. First, the setting could not be more spectacular. We could see Half Dome draped in fog from our window and another huge rock formation in the other. Breathtaking. We had both breakfast and dinner in the main...

This place is perfect. Loved sitting in front of the fireplaces with a good book. Morning tea was not lipton-I'm a tea snob and loved this! Rooms are well appointed. Had an issue with water temperature and management was on top of it-above and beyond and kind! Everyone was kind! Beautiful place and cannot wait to return.

Stayed at the Majestic Yosemite with family after heavy snow in Jan 2017. A wonderful location. Stunning views of the park under snow. The hotel is huge with cavernous areas for guests. There were many cooking exhibitions and private events going at this time of year, but still plenty of places to sit and take in the scenary. No question...

While not a lodge in the traditional sense - the Majestic fills the bill for everything you'd want in great lodging. Situated in a great spot in the valley, with excellent views. About 100 rooms and more than a dozen private cottages - lots of lodging options for every taste. Offers great dining. Great community seating area with picture with...

This place embodies everything that is wrong with the world today. The place calls itself Majestic; however, it has no shame in charging $800 a room with stained and threadbare carpets, lumpy pillows, and empty mini fridges. The bar smells like my old fraternity house. Seriously, do something about that smell. Its definitely unMajestic. And the dining room. For the...

Good afternoon Philippe C, I am disappointed to read that you feel that we embody everything that is wrong with the world today and offer my apologies for failing you during your recent visit. This is certainly not how I want our guests to feel. One should not have to experience lumpy pillows and stained and threadbare carpets. I am...

The hotel itself before the service or food is worth the cost. We were only able to stay in Yosemite for one night and I am so glad we stayed here. The building itself is truly incredible and you can feel the age and inspiration around every corner. They have a hotel tour that highlights points of history and architecture...
