The hotel location is breathtaking at any time of the year, perhaps even more during the winter. The dining room and other common areas with its gigantic fireplaces are grand, but the rooms are small and overpriced, but if you want to have the experience of waking up in on the most amazing places in the planet, at least once,...

My wife and I had been to Yosemite previously, we wanted to experience it in the winter. We spent the first two nights at the Valley Lodge and that was okay. Our last two nights at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel were terrific. Despite the fact that it rained continuously while at the Majestic, it did nothing to dampen our experience....

This mountain resort is breathtaking as is the valley it sits in. The well known falls are right next door. The hiking and viewing are just spectacular and the trout fishing is plentiful with 4 or 5 different species of trouts. Food at the resort is great and there is also rent-a-tent camping Maid and other services or there are...

A beautiful place to stay, kind of expensive though. At the price we did not expect them to be so short staffed that there was a half hour wait to be seated for breakfast every day for the three days we were there. We expected to be able to get up and eat and go out for hikes, etc, for...

It will always be the Ahwahnee hotel to me even if business and politics get in the way of common sense. That being said it is a memorable experience to stay here at anytime. The ambiance and location are incomparable. The food and staff are 5 stars for me. My wife and I love to stay here and spend hours...

We have been to many national parks and this is a wonderful place to stay in Yosemite. My husband and I spent a few nights here as part of our anniversary celebration. We enjoyed just walking around the hotel and admiring it's charm and lovely setting. Our celebration dinner was so special amidst the amazing dining room and professional staff.

In the warmer months its really hard to get a booking - and OUCH - the cost. But once in your life you have to go to Yosemite - and once in your life you need to stay in such a beautiful heritage American Lodge. Double Dip - and do both by staying here!

This is a hotel with a heart. It is one of the most beautiful historic hotels: Anywhere. I learned what the title Concierge means. Stephen Townes listens and understands guest questions. There is nothing that Stephen and his staff won't do for their guests. Stephen is the Concierge. Our room was clean, warm and very ample. Gorgeous. One wants champagne...
