The service was terrible from the moment we walked in the door and "Muffy" could not seem to figure out how to seat two people in an almost empty dining room full of servers. Finally seated us in back of dining room even though six empty tables at the window. Our waiter, Joseph, was not prompt, didn't bring our coffee...

Dear JenoFMB, Thank you for your recent comments advising us of your visit to Mammoth Hot Springs this summer. Comments from visitors assist us in monitoring the levels of service we provide here in Yellowstone. I was disappointed to learn about your experience while staying and dining at Mammoth. Every year we receive thousands of comments, mostly favorable, about the...

We had a 4th floor room with a queen bed in the hotel for one night. Thank God it was only for one night! When we arrived it must have been 100° in there. We opened the window and occasionally opened the door to get some airflow through the room. We had the window open all night and it never...

We stayed in a Canyon Lodge Frontier Cabin for 4 nights in mid-June 2012. Check in was a bit frustrating as the young guy helping us did not know how to do a lot of things. Our cabin was already assigned for some reason and that caused him a lot of confusion. They finally got us another cabin assigned and...

We love Yellowstone and we like the cabins at the Canyons. This year we stayed in the "p" loop, which I guess are the oines that they have upgraded "a little" (emphasis on "little). I still love them a lot, but the price has gone up so much since we first started staying here that I'm not sure if we...

As you arrive at Mammoth Hotel and enter the lobby it looks every inch the beautiful hotel that it was long ago - then you go upstairs to the bedrooms. Whilst they are very clean, they are antiquated with dim lighting and ill fitting windows. This didn't bother us particularly as we didn't expect (or want) modern. What did bother...

We stayed at the Frontier Cabins at Canyon Lodge, the cheapest cabins with a bathroom. I was expecting the bare minimum and that is what we got. I was little dissappointed because even though I was expecting the bare minimum, some of the sheets, lamps, towels, every very old. They should be replaced. Everything looked from the 70's. The walls...

Cabins had just opened for the season. Lots of space, bright room in good condition. Bathroom needs to be repainted and towels are a bit rough. Otherwise, great location and very quiet. Lots of construction under way but renovated cafeteria and other facilities look very promising.

The cabins here look similair to the lake area cabins. We stayed at the cascade lodge which was further from the rest of the cabins/camp. Like mentioned before the walls are very thin and you can hear people coming in & out all night. The people upstairs were also easily heard. The keurig machine (fee?) was a lifesaver since this...

We stayed in Canyon Lodge cabins for two night in June 2012. We were pleasantly surprised when we open the door and saw how nice the room was. Two queen size beds that were very comfortable, a r nice full bath and a table with two chairs. There is also a wall heater for those chilly nights and mornings. They...

I worked in the park 17 years ago and I remembered the Mammoth Cabins to be a low point in peoples Yellowstone stay. But stayed here a few days ago and was very pleasantly surprised. Nothing extraordinary, but for the money and location, absolutely pleasant. Small and clean and vintage, with lovely back porches. The food at the grill is...
