We stayed 2 nights after NPs in South Dakota, and was a little startled at how close all the sites are to each other, but it is pristine regardless of the volume. Bathrooms are clean too. Bear protocol is a bit of a pain but necessary. Moose and elk sightings. Lake Lodge at Grant Village serves an awesome hot buffet...

So, I wasn't expecting any of what I found here. The tent sites are big and roomy, mostly shaded by trees and with a fire pit and picnic table. There are hot showers near the entrance to the facility. You'll get two per site per day, and can buy more. There is also a laundrette. There's a moderately priced grocery...

Grant Village is the southernmost camp at Yellowstone National Park. The campground is maintained. Close by there is a post office, general store, gift shop and gas station. From the Grant Village area you can reach Jackson Hole in about 1.5 hours.

This campground is quite big but well organized. We stayed in an non-electrical site. Bathrooms are clean and kept up. The sink in the same building was appreciated for doing dishes. We also took advantage of the food cages to store our food instead of dragging it with us every day. Each site gets 2 showers per day and the...

I spent one day in Yellowstone and car camped at this campground one night. Campground was well maintained. There were many people and it was sold out by the time I arrived. If you have AARP it is half-priced so it was a good deal for me for one night.

We really enjoyed our stay here while in Yellowstone for 5 days. We saw lots of wild life and even had a large group of elk walk right through our campsite! Keep your food in your car locked up. We heard from quite a few people that they saw bears in the immediate area, although we never saw one thankfully....

Be prepared... it is primitive camping... Just a spot to put your tent and a nice fire pit to cook on. The bathrooms are clean, but don't expect hot/warm water this is none. Hot water is only available If you heat it on the fire... :( It is a little tough if you have never camped in bear/wolf country... EVERYTHING...

Grant Village tends to be less crowded than some of the other parts of the park, but this campground will still sell out! The camp is set within the forest on Yellowstone Lake. Showers and laundry are at the check-in point and are a short drive or bike ride away. Restrooms are clean and well maintained.

We stayed 3 nights in July in the Grant Village Campground in Yellowstone (the week after the 4th of July holiday). It's a pretty place with lots of lodge pole pines. It is right next to Yellowstone Lake though the trees are thick enough you don't really see it from the sites (and we were quite close). It's maybe 100-150yards...

Just got back from one night at Grant campground. Overall the place is decent- bathrooms were fine, dishwashing station was useable. We didn't have strong feelings one way or another about this place. It is a huge campground with mixed tent/rv sites next to each other. There are also power lines running through the campsites (FYI). The showers and laundry...
