First the good- the view is INCREDIBLE (we had clear weather) and the property is well maintained. We had undeniably the worst room in the place from this standpoint- overtop the carport where the buses pull in, next to the elevators & ice machine & across from the stairwell/balcony that all second floor rooms walked by (and for some reason...

Hotel was a nice stop after a long drive from Fairbanks. Rooms were well maintained and staff was helpful. Enjoyed participating in a slide show and discussion with local ranger and was impressed with the flag ceremony at the end of the day. Based on Alaska prices, this room was a great deal?

The hotel is wonderful when arriving from ValdeZ. Such a great location overlooking the river. Checking in was great, and our rooms were fine. Very much a transit hotel. We went for dinner, 3 meals were fine, 1 steak was awful, and Bill accordingly. Breakfast was a disaster, but that is another story.

We stayed here as a central point to explore both Wrangell St Elias NP and Valdez as well as a jumping point to drive to Denali and Fairbanks. On this count it was perfect for our needs. On top of this, the hotel has comfortable rooms with superb views. There is also a couple of restaurants and a pub to...

The restaurant is clean, has some kind staff and some just choose to ignore you. The prices are a little high for the amount of food you receive. I know people who work their and they've treated their employees with no respect; rude managers, frozen food, left overs...the menus are always the same for every Princess Lodge. There's a shuttle...

The hotel is older but well kept and clean. Staff was friendly, also if not very efficient. The rooms are small and the bathrooms basic. The view from the Lobby and the Restaurant as well as the terrace is fantastic over the confluence of two rivers with the Wrangell mountains as a backdrop. There is a short trail to a...

We stayed for a night at the lodge. Please choose for a room with view, we had no choice and were given a room with a view of parking lot, that not what i expected while booking it. Views from lobby are really great.

We stayed here as part of our Princess Land tour. The hotel has beautiful views, however, weather obscured part of our view of the Wrangell Mountain Range. It was definitely an isolated location and there were TONS of mosquitoes. Only food available is the hotel restaurants. Our prearranged excursion was canceled due to low river levels. (Princess Whitewater Jetboat Adventure)...

This place is in the middle of nowhere...Well, not really, there are way more isolated places in Alaska. But, in terms of being near other tourist destinations, not exactly. But it was a great place to stop along my drive from Anchorage to Valdez. It's not exactly close to Liberty Falls, but you can drive there and come back in...

I spent two nights here in July 2014. What a lovely lodge and grounds. The view from the lounge area is amazing. I put my feet up and read a book in the peace and quiet that is this lodge. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
