The Maxwell House is ideally situated. One can walk to many tasting rooms and to the best restaurants in town. Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Penny is an excellent cook. The breakfasts were delicious. We lingered long there over coffee.

My husband and I stayed at the Maxwell House after a busy week visiting family in Seattle. This was the perfect oasis for a few days of relaxing! The house is gorgeous-Victorian style with the most beautiful details. The town is laid back and charming, but with a great night life if you are looking to go out and eat...

The Maxwell House - "good to the last drop". Penny's quaint Bed & Breakfast delights in and out. From the inviting front porch and backyard sitting areas to the cozy immaculate decor once u step inside with afternoon cookies, lovely toiletries and the delicious freshly prepared breakfasts, the accommodations could not have been more pleasant. This B&B is a gem! Penny is a delightful and gracious innkeeper who keeps a beautiful home and knows her community well. The beautiful house has been restored and updated to be both lovely and comfortable, and the food was delicious and elegantly served. Staying at the Maxwell House was a wonderful experience for our group. Don't skip this opportunity!

Wonderful hostess, beautiful accommodations and within walking distance of great restaurants and quaint downtown area. Also within easy driving to many local wineries. The weather is amazing at this time of year and since we are from the Atlanta area it was a pure pleasure. Our hostess , Penny was fantastic.

Nice big house built in 1904. It has about 4 suites. Penny who owns and runs it is very helpful with suggestions on where to eat and which wineries to visit. The breakfasts she serves are outstanding. As for the location it is a short scenic walk to Main St. Where everything is located

First I want to say that the hostess was very nice. The proprietor was on vacation but this lady did a nice job of making us feel welcome. The room we had was spacious, nicely furnished, and clean. The food was a disappointment. The cookies set out were stale and dry. The breakfast was unremarkable; a cup of plain blueberries...

I take full responsibility for the unfortunate experience this guest had at The Maxwell House. I did not train my inn-sitter sufficiently and I thank him for the heads up. I am grateful he gave his name as I intend to be in touch with him and offer him a free stay so I can prove his experience was not...

We truely enjoyed our 2 night stay in this wonderful bed and breakfast. The accomodations were comfortable and cozy. The B&B was easy to get to and served as an excellent home base location for our wine tasting excursions! The staff was wonderful and the breakfasts were amazing!

Chose this B&B for a short weekend getaway, the pictures don't do it justice! This place was spectacular, beautiful and ever so charming. Penny is just simply the best innkeeper we've ever met, we've stayed at many B&Bs and she is by far the best. Within walking distance of downtown, lots of great shopping, food and wine. Will be staying...

Last Summer on our drive back from Yellowstone, we stopped in Walla Walla, Washington to visit some of the wineries. As we had not made any reservations for an overnight stay, we looked at the internet in a local Starbucks and found a room available at the Maxwell House. Penny greeted us and made us very welcome in the beautiful,...
