We have slept here several times over the years. On this visit we noticed the "B" (bed) part is still very good along with the other amenities of the house; however the "b" (breakfast) is WAY below what we used to receive. Last time we had a 3-course breakfast. Parfait, then grits, hash browns, scrambled eggs and choice of bacon...

Loved this B&B. It has a gated entrance with a code and parking in the rear. You call to get the code when you arrive. It is located across street from Cedar Grove. You can get a late arrival but it really is not appreciated. Miss Jessie does everything and does it very well. The house is lovely and spotless!...

This is a really beautiful 1870s Plantation style house a short distance from Downtown Vicksburg. It is run by a lovely lady called Miss Jessy, yep really! From the outset she made us very welcome showing us around the house, our room was beautiful with a four potential bed that was as comfortable as it was impressive. Our room had...

We booked this room to stay at coming off a cruise from port at Mobile Alabama. The cruise had been scheduled to come into port and debark at 12:30pm and we had to drive back to Dallas. The ship came to port early and we were off the boat and in the car by 9:00am so we no longer needed...

We don't typically stay at a B&B - but the southern charm of the Bell Drew is in - as the train whistle blows at 7 as I write - LOL. The house is fabulous and yes old and yes tired. From the sign out front it is for sale - things change. But we sincerely enjoyed Rosa Lee and...

The aging B & B is beautiful, but the Southern Hospitality was lacking. We arrived and were met by the owner; he was cordial and gave us a quick tour of the house. There was no attempt at suggesting places to see or where to eat. I have to agree with 332marielouise that the owners are not engaged in the...

The house is beautiful but have the feeling the owners might nog be fully committed to the B&B anymore. The house needs to be painted, some curtains were torn, the airco made a lot of noise, the bed was awful... Although the owner was there when we arrived we didn't see him anymore afterwards. Our son loved the house, the...

This is a lovely antebellum home that has been well maintained. RosaLee does everything she can to make your stay comfortable, fun and informative. We stayed in the Josephine room, large and comfortable. The train is close-by. We did not find it an issue. Stay here if you can.

During a trip through the Southern states, we stayed at Ahern Belle of the Bends for a night. This was definitely an experience to remember! The warm welcome by Rosa Lee, and her hospitality and stories made us feel like we were really going back in time. We could feel the history of the house. A beautiful room, magnificent views,...

We stayed in the Josephine room upstairs and it was grand. Reading about the history of the house in the folder provided made it feel as though we had stepped back in time, but there were all the usual modern amenities that come with modern hotels--WiFi, TV with DVD player, alarm clocks, etc. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom...
