Hotel La Croix (pronounced “La-Croy”) is a 192 room boutique hotel offering uncompromising value through a soothing and connected experience that will bring light to your spirit and soul.

Experience the best of both worlds, with both palm-tree filled parks and Luxury Row shops and dining both within your reach. La Croix, means “The Cross” (crossroads) in French. It's a fitting name, given that it prominently sits at the gateway of Waikiki on Kalakaua and Kuhio, the two main streets of Waikiki. Take in unobstructed ocean views, with the lapping waves just a short walk away.

The iconic words inscribed at the bottom of our photo-ready pool offer up our goals are for our guests: to experience the Island’s love + aloha.

We've put meticulous care into allowing our guests to connect with Hawaii during their stay. As you walk along the floors in your room, feel a sense of connection to the locally sourced hardwoods beneath your feet. Along the walls, too, we have routed solid wood piece by piece, just as Hawaiian royalty did at their beach houses over 100 years ago. As you sit on furniture refinished by local craftsmen, take in ocean views from your oversized lanai surrounded by real plants.

At Hotel La Croix, we are grateful of the opportunity to be the stewards of a landmark Property. Our goals are to serve and enrich the experience of our guests from all over the world with our love + aloha.

Nice clean modern hotel in a decent location which is a good value for the money. Staff were very nice. They stored our bags after checkout. No frills but did have most of the basics like fitness and pool. Would have appreciated a coffee maker and iron in the room, but did have a fridge. Seemed like a safe area and not a bad walk to Waikiki. My only complaint was that they didn’t really give me a clear number up front as to the total cost with taxes and fees. They said the room would be $155 plus additional charges (including resort fee). The total ended up being about $214 per night, which was still very reasonable. The room was small and had a balcony that faced a construction site, which was no fault of theirs. They had an ABC convenience store onsite. No restaurant but can order room service and there were many nice options in Waikiki about 5-10 min walk away. We ate at some of the hotel restaurants down there that were super nice and had live entertainment. Food and drink prices were about the same as west coast prices.

My son & I stayed at La Croix for 6 nights. We loved La Croix kitchenette. The room was cleaned every day, some times they forgot few items, but a day before we left, Lisa Ramos did great cleaning, even washed the dirty dishes left in sink. I usually washed them myself before going to bed at night. I appreciated the air conditioner and balcony to dry out swim suits. Shower was great too. The pool was amazing and warm. The girl at the pool bar was the best, very helpful and kind. Loved the dry steam room, free popcorn at the bar and PH alkaline cold filtered water available in lobby and pool area. I appreciated the free coffee and tea at the lobby in the morning, and opportunity to rent for free chairs, umbrellas & surf boards for use at the beach. No beach towels available, but the oil provided clean towels no problem. Valet parking was $35 at night, hence I rented car per each day. Bus stops near by, the nice park, wild chickens running around, and away from overcrowded Waikiki beach. Walking everywhere was great. ABC store , similar to 7 eleven was at the lobby, so need to leave the building to buy snacks or bare necessities. Will definitely come back and make friends with the lady in the pool bar, very nice and provided excellent customer service.

We had such an amazing time at the pool (even though it was quite cloudy) and all the credit goes to Chey! She was so nice, kept up with our multiple orders and mixed up the best tropical cocktails! She also gave us wonderful local recommendations. When we come back we look forward to visiting with her!!

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel. The room was, roomy, comfy beds...but definitely outdated. The hotel is currently doing some updating and the lobby and pool area are beautiful, although the pool area could do with some additional shaded area for us pale skins! The real highlight of our stay here was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and in particular, a young woman that makes fantastic drinks at the pool, Chey. She gave us some tips about places to visit on the north end and she hit the nail on the head. We had a great day out at Shark cove and Waimea gardens thanks to her advice! The location of this hotel is excellent, everything you need is an easy walk and we used the #20 public bus to get to and from the airport ($3 cash for the local bus). We also used the public bus for the north end, but be warned its a long sometimes bumpy ride and they keep the AC cranked! Locals get on all bundled up! Last tip, we loved the Thai food at King of Thai Boat Noodles, which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Mahalo

Chey at the pool was Amazing!!! Super helpful, kind and SO friendly. She made the trip for us. I would go beck just to see her. The room was ok. We got one that had not been completely remodeled. It was quaint and centrally located. Again I would stay again after the renovation was complete.

Room was good. Old style shower/bath tap took a while to figure out. Front office staff always helpful. My issues were: 1- The internet. Incredibly patchy. Constantly not able to connect and when connected constantly having to reconnect. TV apps such as Netflix of no use whatsoever as could not connect to the internet. 2- Construction site opposite. Not being advised when booking about the site. Although most of the construction is on the interior of the building occasionally there was jackhammer noises. Not really an issue during the day and noise generally started after 7. A slight reduction in price is warranted for this issue. They did offer to relocate if necessary. As I requested a quiet room I should have been given a room further from the noise. 3 - As stated I requested a quiet room but a very very noisy family was given rooms near me. Banging doors went on until midnight and started at 6am. 4- Housekeeping was pretty bad. My son had to request 3 times for his room to be cleaned. Towels were not exchanged like for like. I ended up with 5 hand towels and no bathmat. Extra shampoo etc was given when not required and no soap given when required. Recycle bin contents were added to general rubbish. In comparison to other hotels this one is a lot cheaper so I guess you get what you pay for.

As we all know traveling alone can at times be.. well lonely however, the aloha spirit was especially evident in Chey who not only crafted exceptional cocktails but genuine care and authenticity in being a wonderful person and a highlight of my time spent there. Surroundings were great, people were better!

Decent smaller hotel means you don’t have to wait long for elevators, valet, traffic, and it’s on the end of Waikiki that makes it convenient to get to airport and North Shore. We rented a car, our valet guys were the best (Aloha Miles and Wendell), Miles suggested Duke’s breakfast buffet and it was a great deal at $25/person (too bad we weren’t within walking distance because those valet parking fees in Waikiki are no joke! $6 for every 30 minutes, unless you eat at Hula Grill then it’s $15 for up to 4 hours-partial validation) The room itself was completely adequate. We booked a “silver king”room and I was pleased that we were on the 17th floor (almost the top) with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean (well, more like the sky above the ocean). I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want to enjoy the hotel. It’s more of a place to get ready and sleep (not necessarily relax at the hotel). My husband enjoyed the night time balcony views of the buildings and traffic. I had looked at pictures online and worried I would be facing construction or have the sliding bathroom door privacy issue, but those issues did not apply to my room. Bathroom is a standard tub/shower combo. Updated vanity. Bed mattress felt springy (like an older mattress, no memory foam) but was comfortable. Only one nightstand, I moved the footstool next to the bed to serve as a second nightstand. Mini fridge was nice. No keurig coffee maker in the room but you can get coffee in the lobby downstairs. Parking fee was $45 per night. Resort fee was $40/night. For the resort fee we picked up 2 folding camping chairs to use at the beach and needed to return them each night. They were a pain to fold up and down because sand gets in the legs (they pack into a travel bag, not designed for the beach). I asked if they had the low Tommy Bahama type beach chairs that you see around, and they said they were all broken except 1. I tried to negotiate a cheaper resort fee with my AAA card (they offer 30 percent off if you book directly with them) but since we booked through a 3rd party they wouldn’t adjust it. The pool is looked at but never used. It’s small and we were out and about a lot. The ice machine is hiding in the parking garage behind the washer/dryer. ABC store was convenient. We also really enjoyed our dinner at the Tommy Bahama restaurant and rooftop bar, within walking distance. Eggs n things we didn’t make it to for breakfast but you can walk there too.
