We just got back from Honolulu on Friday and I have to say I was very pleased with our hotel choice. The beds were super comfy and after our busy days, we slept like logs. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Tom at the Surf Rental Shop was awesome! It is located in the hotel lobby and he...

For the price I guess ok but the general impression is old and dated. The front desk staff were not very helpful at all and the other services not very good The restaurant average and the pool freezing. Solar heating would be good. However rooms were made up well and bed comfortable If we come again would not stay again

We have just returned from spending two lovely weeks at this delightful Hotel. Our Diamond Head view room on the 18th floor was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was the best I've slept in besides my own. The staff endlessly helpful and friendly. The décor is a little tired and would benefit from a new colour scheme but this...

We booked the Queen Kapiolani based on an very good special price offering (for the period of our stay) and the TripAdvisor reviews I read. I agree with the "Good" to "Very Good" reviews. Although a bit dated, our room was very clean and the king bed comfortable. We had a City view, but a balcony was more important than...

My husband and I just spent several nights at Queen Kapiolani and we couldn't have had a better stay! They checked us in early and we were pleasantly surprised by how great our room was. We had a corner room on the 9th floor with a city view. The room was extremely clean and everything was in great condition. Is...

Thankfully we didn't have a cat, else my nightly ritual of swinging it would have been thwarted! Nevertheless, it was clean and well 'made up' each day. The double bed was too small, I'm 6'4 and 120kg and my wife is a 'size 12', so it looked like the hippo and chicken in the bed (but if anyone calls her...

From my experience, this hotel is a mixed bag. A friend of mine in the travel business used to refer to places such as this as "potential five star properties with three star management". But they seem to be coming around. I am charmed by the economy measures (A/C not on in an empty room, escalators off when nothing is...

Family of three (2 adults & 1 'soon to be' 3yr old). 8 night stay The hotel lobby is pleasant. Friendly staff. Checkin was easy. The hotel room was with the Diamond Head view. Fantastic to wake up to every morning. Stepping onto the balcony you also had a partial ocean view. This hotel is located on the quieter side...

Stayed 13 nights in March / April 2015 this year with my wife. As a senior reviewer with Tripadvisor I make sure I try to convey accurate information when submitting reviews. This hotel is just a few minutes walk from Waikiki Beach and all the tourist venues, pubs, cafes etc. The Queen Kapiolani is an older hotel but its in...
