Except for the serious spider bite while sleeping in the Cooke Room that had to be medically treated, we enjoyed our stay. A relaxing place with quiet gardens for breakfast. The house is over a 100 years old, in Hawaii weather, so expect what comes with that.

The house must have been glorious when it was built. The owners occupy the lower level and they have 7 rooms in the 2nd and 3rd floor. No elevator. Parts of the staircase have no handrail. The lower level stinks from the huge dog they have. The sinks are old, the shower is in the tub which has nothing to...

Management response:

We have completed a five year refurbishing of our home. The property is owner operated. The property has been refurbished with a new paint job, electrical, plumbing and photovoltaic system. We are a 100 plus year old historic home and do not have an elevator. We have a fabulous breakfast, free parking and offer great value and Aloha to our...

My husband and I stayed here for a business trip. We found this place available and decided to book it for the free parking and free breakfast and it was away from all the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was amazing and sitting out on the lanai was nice and like we were in the jungle. We enjoyed the quiet...

Stayed there Oct 5-10, 2016 and loved it. It's on the historic register and so it should be. Even though it is historic it has all the modern amenities including Wifi and air conditioning. Quiet neighborhood, lovely breakfast. Duncan their 150 lbs. St. Bernard's dog is a treat too especially for dog lovers such as myself. Parking is not an...

Charming Historic Register experience. Lot's of stairs and not much a/c. Serve yourself buffet breakfast and they make eggs and pancake to order. Lovely old building.Tiny sign makes it a challenge to find. Ask locals for help. Hopeless after dark.

Love old historic places. Great fresh breakfast. The issue we had was that no matter which room or even outside, there were huge flying roaches! It would be good to get rid of. Yes, it is near the jungle but if the garden in the back did not look like a overgrown crowded jungle, perhaps the roaches would be next...

I'm having a similar experience to another reviewer who had stayed here many years ago and who seemed to wrestle with some fundamental issues of fairness when comparing the current Manoa Valley Inn with what it once was. The inn's ownership over the past thirty years has changed a number times. It even faced possible demolition at one point though...

This is one of my trickier reviews! Myself & my wife first visited Manoa Valley Inn some years ago & enjoyed our visit. We decided to spend a couple of nights there during our most recent visit. On the plus side - this is a tranquil, reasonably priced Inn overlooking Waikiki & Diamond Head. It has a very zen feeling...

My wife and I stayed at the Manoa Valley Inn for 2 nights during our trip to Oahu.We liked the fact that it was away for the busy areas of Honolulu. We opted for the Dole Junior suite. From the description, we knew the view wouldn't be as good as some of the more expensive rooms, and we were fine...

The property was quite old, being around here for about 100 years and is listed on National Register of Historic Places. I love antique furniture and do not mind a bit of shabbiness while traveling around, so I liked the Inn quite a lot. But it may not be the right place for you if you are seeking modern comfort...
