IIlima was a departure point for our day trips to Hanauma, Koko Crater, Diamand Head, Kailua beach, Peral Harbor etc., it is not a resort for lounging around. It is two blocks from the beach, and 1 block from the international market place. We had the deluxe studio unit, very large, kitchen, and our view faced the Ala Wai Canal,...

Located near Ala Wai blvd, only walk away from all things, kuhio Ave is just 2 minutes walk away and Kalakaua ave is 5 minutes walking distance, and few more and you are at Waikiki beach, so not bad distance at all, comfy place to stay.... Rooms are with kitchen ( bit outdated but all works ) My view was...

Had a great time at the hotel for our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything was done just right and it was neat and clean. They had a lot of free extras for the price as already mentioned in previous reviews. Like free parking, internet access, pool, kitchenette, a pitcher of cold water in the fridge when we got there. These things...

Enjoyed my stay here, spent one week Mar6-19th, Friendly staff . We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that was very clean and spacious, balcony. We were with in walking distance to everything. We had a full kitchen to cook in and all utensils and misc were supplied. The Illima is a good value, the only thing that I think...

We stayed at the Ilima in Feb 2011 for seven nights. This is an older hotel but, for the most part, is nicely maintained. The staff at the desk were very helpful and always friendly as were the housekeeping staff. The rooms are large (550 sq ft) and have kitchenettes and lanais with two chairs. We had two queen beds,...

We spent the week on Oahu celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We brought our 2 teenagers - aren't we nice?! Our original reservation was with another hotel / condo nearby but after reading mixed reviews I canceled and found Ilima, thanks to "Oahu Revealed". We found a special deal on their website - a room with guaranteed view and 5th...

This is a nice old high rise place in the middle of the chaos of Waikiki. I did not like Waikiki. To me Waikiki was a very run down old city with lots of crime and dirt. The row of fancy hotels by the ocean are nice and fun to see but unless you can stay ocean front fancy your...

This is a great hotel , we always go out of our way to avoid package deals that end up putting you in the other hotels in the area which are not as nice and not as friendly. Comparing this hotel to Trump hotel in Hawaii is ridiculous , Trump opened in 2009 and if you want to pay that...

I'm not sure how this hotel has such a great rating on this forum. Stayed here for several nights on business as required by my employer. Stayed a few extra nights for leisure and moved over to Trump which is in a totally different league. Pros: -VERY friendly and helpful staff -Free parking- this parking is limited. Don't plan on...
