Just finished a two week stay at this hotel and can really recommend it. This is a slightly older property with an excellent location right in the heard of Waikiki. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment a could not fault the property for value, cleanliness and friendliness....

My husband and I had a 24-hr stopover in Honolulu on our way home to Sydney, Australia from Seattle, Washington. On our way to Seattle, we had stopped over in Honolulu for 5 days and stayed at the Aqua Aloha - while the hotel is fine, our room was quite tight. In an effort not to spend too much money,...

Older hotel but still kept in good shape. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was plenty of space for my family of 6. The suites only have 1 bathroom so that was a bit of a challenge. The suites also have a full kitchen which is good if you don't want to eat out for every meal. The...

I would come back and stay at this hotel again. All of the staff was absolutley wonderful. The rooms are very clean and it's in a great location in the heart of Waikiki. We took a very short walk everyday to the shops and beach.

This was our first time staying at the Ilima and we were not disappointed. Yes, it may need to be updated, but it was everything as advertised. We had a nice view of the ocean, and the location was perfect. The staff was very helpful and friendly, our room was clean. We did use the kitchenette to cook and we...

This was my second stay at The Ilima and, once again, I was very pleased! The staff is wonderful, rooms are large, and there's a kitchenette! Close walking distance Waikiki Beach, shopping and restaurants. I plan on staying there again next summer. Great place and great price! Hats off to Courtni and all the attentive staff at the Ilima!

The Ilima was an emergency choice after I had to punch out of a bad choice hotel in downtown Hono. I was lucky to book 7 days the day of check in, so I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. Though 70ish and kind of dated, the Ilima is a great value hotel with a beautiful view of the...

I am giving this 4 stars based on a budget hotel. It has free parking. However it needs to be upgraded. Do not expect anything fancy. If you are looking for a hotel on a budget and don't care if the decor is old, then consider this hotel. Staff is friendly. Location is convenient. And again parking is free.

We made our third visit to the Ilima in June 2012 for the Pan Pacific Festival and can't wait to get back to Hawaii. The reception staff really made us feel welcome and remembered us as though we had only been there a few weeks before. (Our last visit was September 2011 for Aloha Festivals). They upgraded our room to...

I'm looking forward to my second stay at the Ilima in February 2013, after having spent 9 days there last February. I have been to Waikiki many times, and I usually stay at hotels on Kuhio. Being on a side street (Nohonani) was much quieter. There is an Enterprise Rent A Car right across the street which is a plus...
