Just got back from a 7 nite vacation here and we miss it already! We were very impressed with the quality of the room and the staff. Of course you have to take into acct that you are staying at a hotel off of the ocean. The bathroom is small but we only needed to shower after a day in... More

Stayed here with my family for 5 nights. The location right on Waikiki beach is terrific. It is on the east end of Kalakaua Avenue, a little further from the restaurants and nicer stores but well within a 5-10 minute walk. There are plenty of hotel restaurants in the area. Attached is a Wolfgang Puck express which has good food,... More

We were there with our 5 month old baby. Overall the stay was good. We had a room (803) that had a bad smell and was noisy, and staff made arrangements for us to move to another room. In general staff was friendly. The "breakfast at the beach" is a joke, they have a buffet that could be improved (bread,... More

My room on the 17th floor was comfortable, clean and modern, not huge, but had everything I needed and expected. The tiny balcony overlooking the pool was a bit disappointing size-wise -- barely big enough for one chair, but the view of the ocean and beach were very nice -- even if it was at a bit of an angle.... We stayed here for 1 week. I found the bed very uncomfortable. The tub never drained properly. The smoke detector kept going off at 3am. TV never worked proper.Very, very loud. We were told that we could get a late check out, but on the day that we needed it they wanted $75.The beach across from there was under construction.... More

To summarize what most people have said: - Location. You cross the street and the beach is there. There is some beach renovation going on, but it's not a big deal - not like the entire beach is closed or anything like that. - Location #2. The hotel is at one end of the shopping strip, so all you do... More

The room is a tad small, and the bathroom needs to be updated (a bit worn and needs ventilation for showers!!) but we had everything we needed. Beds are incredibly comfortable and our standard room (pool side) had a marvellous ocean view! The hotel is right across from the beach, and most importantly, the StoneCold Creamery is right on site!!!... More

We love this hotel and always come back to the same hotel every time we visit Waikiki. This is our 3rd time stay in Feb. 2012. This hotel is in the center of Waikiki and location is A+. Everything is walking distance. I have to say the hotel manager Jon and stuffs Lave, Kevin and Kamaka were the BEST!!! We... More

The hotel room was fine, good proximity to the beach. The experience was like a week in a college dorm, with crowds of people with varying levels of social skills. The breakfast buffet was like a feeding frenzy of people in a rush pushing in an out of line to fill their little breakfast bags each is given. Maybe plates,... More

We have just returned from a one week stay at the Aston. It is a big, bustling hotel with a continual stream of new guests and tour groups. For sake of definition, it is a "hotel" not a "boutique hotel" or "resort" - we were expecting a "hotel" experience and this is excatly what we got. If you want more... More
