We just arrived home from an 8 day stay. We had read previous reviews and although they were not all flattering, we decided to stay here as it would accomodate 5 people and had a kitchenette. We realized the first day that the refrigerator was not working and called down to get it repaired. Response was quick with a replacement...

We just arrived back home from our stay at the Waikiki Banyan. After reading these reviews, I had to write one of my own. I booked our room through a rental site where these units are rented out by their owner and not through the hotel. The one we stayed in was great! Clean, very well decorated and wonderful views...

my fiance and i stayed at the waikiki banyan dec. 11-16. we were aware of the problems listed by other travellers and had somewhat low expectations -- that way, you're not utterly disappointed. for the most part, the banyan was fine. we had a nice clean room. yes, it was old, but we expected this. we had 2 twin beds,...

Our unit at the Waikiki Banyan was clean , quiet and air-conditioned with a full kitchen and bathroom. It was close to the beach and the park. The complex has an excellent rec deck with tennis courts, pool, hot tubs and playground. The hotel is close to the bus stop. It is within walking distance to the Food Pantry and...

Price is cheap and you get what you pay for. This hotel is definitely one of the older hotels and needs remodeling. We killed a total of 6 small cockroaches in our kitchen area and 2 small cockroaches in the bathroom area. I wasn't too terrified as I have read of other reviews about this hotel having a cockroach problem....

I won't go into length since there are apparently almost 200 reviews for this hotel. I'm writing this just to keep it current. Our party consisted of 4 separate families who rented 4 separate rooms for a week. All in Tower 2. Believe most of what's been said here. The furniture *is* a little old. The elevators *are* slow. etc.....

We recently returned from a month long trip to Hawaii, which our first stop was 6 nights at this hotel. It is in a really convenient location for the beach and shopping, just 2 blocks. There are no proper supermarkets around Waikiki but of course the ABC's are everywhere. We mainly ended up getting takeout most nights and eating in...

We arrived at the Banyan absolutely bedraggled after having no sleep. Though it was early we were able to get into our room (courtesy of Thomas Edwards, I think his site is 'stayatwaikiki'). To see it so spacious and welcoming and filled with light (a corner unit) was wonderful. My husband and I desperately wanted a 1-bedroom as we were...

We booked a room here and was a little worried because the price was so low, BUT we loved our stay here! Our room had 2 full size beds and a queen sofa couch. The kitchen was well equiped with everything that we needed (2 pots, frying pan, knifes, cups, plates, bowels, tea kettle, ice trays, baking pans). It was...
