We have stayed at various hotels in Waikiki and the Banyon suits us best. We like the suite type accomodation, despite the fact that the hotel is not on the beach and that the building is like many in Waikiki, 30+ years old and a bit frayed at the edges. It is great not having to eat every meal out...

We just got back from Hawaii and spent one week at the Banyan and were very disappointed. The hotel is average and the room was full of cockroaches, the room was sprayed down 3 times in one week, they were even on the beds. The room was kept clean however furniture was average. The location was great and the staff...

This is quite a hard review to write as on one side a lot of people may be put off by the fact that this hotel needs updating but I'm going to concentrate on all the positives and there are loads. It is such a friendly place to stay. Very clean, large apartments - plenty big enough for our family...

Had a Superior City View room that was very clean and serviced each day. Was our third stay at this property dating back to 1992 and the standards have not changed in all those years.

Read reviews prior to holiday, sort of knew what to expect. Felt sorry for those who had unpleasant experiences but for us we had a great time. As a family of 5, we had two condos, both were cleaned every single day and were well equpped. Used the bbq area, local shop, The Food Pantry and we were more than...

We stayed @ the Banyan for 6 days in January. It is a great place to stay when you have kids along. We used the BBQ area almost every night. This was a great way to save some money and not have to worry about the kids @ a restaurant. We spent less money @ Safeway for a week's worth...

Well I stayed here for 3 nights in 2006 and I enjoyed myself. I went with my college and paid less than 400 bucks for the whole trip...including airfare, so I wasn't picky at all as far as accommodations. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were nicely decorated and it had a bedroom, separate living area, and a full...

Stayed here for a family vacation a few months back. First time for me in the USA. Love it! Hotel wouldn't let us check in a few hours early, and made up pay for an extra night's accommodation which we weren't too happy with. There was no other way around it though, as we needed our room for sleep, especially...

I recently found this rental while searching for a last minute, affordable place to stay on Waikiki (tough to do ...). Upon finding the rental via the internet, I contacted the person listed and found him to be very professional and accomodating. When I arrived at the property, it was as described. No fancy bells and whistles, but the rental...
