Compared to the area with the big hotels on Waikiki beach, this seaside location is not crowded and fairly quiet, and it's easy to get in and out of by car. It has a relaxed and "local feel." And while "local" can be good, in Hawaii it can also mean mediocre with a high price. For the $300+/night I spent...

My favorite hotel in Honolulu. The locations makes it especially if you want a quiet time in honolulu. It is right next to kapiolani park and diamondhead. I would avoid the breakfast and the line is long, but if you have time a great way to spend a few hours. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the main waikiki...

So after our fiasco at the Hilton, we hurried to find a hotel away from the crowds. We ended up at the Otani because they had immediate availability. I will give them credit for that. Here we are, last minute and they fully accomodated us witha room...sort of. Their idea of a room is what us Westerners would call a...

This is our second visit and the Otani is the perfect place to stay of you don't want the crowds and mall like atmosphere of Waikiki Beach. The rooms are small but elegant and we had wonderful views of both the ocean, all of Waikiki and the surrounding Pali. The food is good and the beach is right outside so...

I stayed at the Kaimana Beach hotel when my mom came to Honolulu to visit me. The location is about as close to perfect as you can get. The renovated rooms are tastefully done, and the views are one of a kind, The staff are helpful and full of aloha. The food at the hotel is excellent, but walking to...

We had a very pleasant second stay at the Kaimana Beach Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. We enjoyed several light meals in the Sunset Lanai where they serve a good variety of interesting local and international dishes. The beach and ocean outside the hotel are wide, clean and gorgeous with some good snorkelling spots. You'll want...

We stayed at the Kaimana Beach for a staycation weekend with friends and it was fantastic! It's a hidden gem for both visitors to our islands and kamaaina. The hotel has a perfect view of the blue ocean, Waikiki and the fireworks show on Friday nights. We were impressed with the service at the hotel starting from the valet attendant,...

This hotel is near Waikiki but far enough away to be in quiet section down by Diamond Head. Open air lobby & Hau Tree Lanai is a great open to sea restaurant. Great views of downtown Waikiki & Diamond head. our room had balcony overlooking Ocean & Park.Has it;s own beach which was never crowded.

I have stayed at the Kaimana Beach a few times before and keep coming back to it. I love the location, that it is on the edge of Waikiki rather than right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The views, rooms and service are wonderful! And breakfast at the Hau Tree Lanai is always a special treat to...
