If you want quiet away from Waikiki beach, this the place for you. However if you are not to much into the beach and like to do sun tanning on your lanai then pick your room wisely. Do not expect the sun on your lanai unless your facing the beach. You get the last few hours of sun. The place...

The hotel is a bit dated but is in a fantastic location. It sits adjacent to Kapiolani park next to the outrigger canoe club. Its away from the craziness of Waikiki but still close enough to walk if you want to check it out. If you want to surf tongs beach is straight out and a short paddle to the...

Decent hotel, clean, good housekeeping and friendly staff. Lost points due to the location and smaller size of the rooms (our bed took up the entire room and it was difficult to fit our baggage) - whilst I appreciated it was in a quiet area (and this might suit some travellers) the walk to and from the main stretch in...

We would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was exceptional from the valets, check-in, wait staff, and housekeeping. Our room was clean and had the most beautiful view of the ocean. I would especially recommend this for couples looking for a calming experience vs. the resort experience.

Great accommodation, beautiful little beach right in front of the hotel, the staff were fantastic nothing was too difficult, even for the Australian guest who wanted a cup of tea! Within walking distance to Waikiki, lots of eatery's close by and the restaurant at the hotel was lovely too. The location was very quiet which for us was great. Lovely...

This is a good hotel if you want to be near Waikiki but not in Waikiki. It is quiet. It is within walking distance from the aquarium and parks. It is another retro experience. Many Japanese go there and have pictures in wedding dresses on the beach. It is not too big. It has a good feel to it and...

This place is the perfect place to stay when visiting Oahu as it is away from the hectic Waikiki beach scene yet within easy driving distance to everything. Our room was fairly small, but the view was fantastic and the breakfast restaurant was perfection. The staff is very service oriented and the location is perfect for strolling up the beach...

As Alaskans, we're frequent travelers to Hawaii and this is hands down our favorite place to stay on Oahu. That was confirmed with our recent stay in November when a scheduling mishap landed us in the Waikiki Suite. Jaw-dropping views of the ocean and Waikiki from the wraparound balcony, gorgeous room with floor to ceiling windows. The staff is amazing,...

Especially Tony !!! ( works as valet, a service they also offer for fee) I have to mention Tony made us feel very welcome and was always more...

The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel must be the quietest place to stay in busy Honolulu and Waikiki. It's so peaceful and maintained very well. The biggest plus to staying here is that it's within walking distance of the Honolulu Aquarium and the Honolulu Zoo. It's located near The Bus stop so this trip we didn't even get a rental...
