Every time I stay at the Kai Aloha Hotel I'm surprised that its not booked solid. The is Waikiki's best kept secret in my opinion. Its a little slice of old school Waikiki. I found this place while staying at one of the many Outrigger hotels. I was walking down the street and saw it and said: Now that is...

My family has been staying at this nice little hotel, run by En Chang, for over thirty years. It is well kept with new sound proofing and new A/c units. All units have nice, full kitchens. Room prices are very reasonable. Located just a block from the lovely Ft DeRussy beach and close to a great new food truck spot...

This is a very old, poorly maintained hotel: stained and dirty dresser scarves, peeling paint, stained/rusted bathroom sink and shower, stained underneath-side of bedspread, no wifi in room, no windows to see out of, loud air conditioner with instructions to keep it running at all times to drown out the noise of the early morning garbage trucks visiting the dumpsters...

this has been our third stay over the years at Kai Aloha. Once again we find it delightful. This is an affordable dynamite location for a stay in Waikiki. For those of you who need a valet service, heated swimming pool, a tenth floor balcony overlooking the bay, room service, etcetera, this is not for you. If you can appreciate...

Kai Aloha apartment is we're we stayed when visiting Oahu. It a budget hotel with very nice location - close to Waikiki, beach etc. The bad sides are: noisy (trucks noise starting very early), dark (roughly no natural light in the room) and old like you are 30-40 years back. There was not much room booked so probably easy to...

This small hotel, on the Ewa side of Waikiki was absolutely charming. My friend and I were celebrating our 65th birthday year. We have known each other since grade two so this was a very special trip. I had spent the last 10 years dreaming about Hawaii and researching travel magazines, books and travel sections of newspapers to find the...

Having been to Hawaii once before, I knew how expensive it is. This was a family trip with my husband and young son. Kai Aloha was the perfect location and fit for us! We are on a budget and wanted to spend our money on excursions not food and lodging. Kai Aloha is no Trump tower, that is next door...

I needed a room in Waikiki...I like 150 yards to the beach....old apartment 3 story....bedroom , living room, small kitchen, small bath.....the room was clean, the people eager to help and friendly....105.00 per night while everyone else 280.00 and up. Great place if you want to surf Waikiki...the access sidewalk aims you right into the surf at 3's....good luck......BDL

Our phone calls and email were never returned, even after this place said it would call us back. Even if there's no availability, at least let us know, so we can make other arrangements. How does one run a business in such a way?

This is a very old building but clean place in an excellent location. It is a mere 3 minute walk to the beach. It is close to very good restaurants. If you are ok with old, then check it out. If you prefer something that is built after 1960 then don't stay here. My one complaint had nothing to do...

“Front of the house has some traffic on Saratoga; rear of the house has some alley/garage traffic from the new Trump Tower. Pick a middle & make the best of it. The pleasant second-floor sun deck is at the front overlooking Saratoga, the park and nice sunsets. The WiFi is available there.”
