While I am not a veteran, many members of my family are Army and as a result I was able to score a room at the Hale Koa when they visited Hawaii. The Hotel in on Waikiki Beach equidistant from the Ala Moana Mall and Lewers Street. You can't find a better location to enjoy all that Honolulu has to...

Stayed at the Hale Koa for 5 nights. The grounds are amazing. Plenty of options for food and drinks on location. We only had an issue a couple of nights when there were screaming kids in the room next to ours at 2am. Thankfully they checked out so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. This Hotel is within...

As a retired military officer, I have stayed at the Hale Koa 6 times in the past 8 years. If the airfare from the East Coast to Hawaii wasn't so expensive, this is the only place I would vacation. The pool complex is superb; the evening and breakfeast buffets are not only outstanding but very reasonably priced. The pristine park...

We stayed there seven nights and found the place to be perfect. The first night we were given a parking lot view of the city and the rooms were a bit outdated. We requested two oceanview rooms for ourselves and our guest for the rest of our stay. They were able to accomdated us and the rooms were as different...

The Hale Koa is only for military members (including retirees) and their families, so it's not open to the general public. So for those who qualify, the Hale Koa is quite nice. There are two towers where rooms either face the ocean at an angle or the city. I had one at the end of the hall (room 801) that...

This is a military hotel but if you can stay here I highly recommend it. The hotel is fantastic, the rooms are clean, well appointed and well maintained. If you can get a ocean view I would recommend that as well, it is right on the beach. I have heard that this property has the only large green space(lush vegetation)...

I stayed here for seven nights with a fiend whose husband is retried military. From the welcomed greeting in the lobby to check out, the staff is helpful and friendly. A lot of 60+ staying in the hotel but this wasn't a factor. There is an adult pool so you can get away from the children if need be. Great...

I made our reservation back in Feb., after going over available website info and reading review by calling the reservation department. Very easy and simple and they were very professional. This was our first stay at the Hale Koa but won't be our last. From the time we checked in (late on the evening of 23 Oct) until we checked...

The Hale Koa grounds are spectacular, and the overall value is certainly a plus. The restaurants are another story. One evening we had an awful meal, and the other evening an exceptional one. The breakfast buffet was a good value with lots of variety. Having an Exchange on the property is convenient. Loved the pools, beach, and great location. I...

We met my father there for an event after staying elsewhere in Waikiki for five days. The grounds are amazing- the huge banyan tree is really something. It has a nice layout, the rooms are clean and well-serviced. There is an adult- only pool, but the beach bar is by the other one. The sand was more coarse than other...
