Made our annual Christmas season trip to Newport and stayed at our favorite B&B the Francis Malbone House. It was great to see our friends at the Francis Malbone, Will, AnneMarie and Suzanne. Whether it is your first time staying here or your return visit, they always make you feel welcome and like you have known each other for years....

Everything at this inn is just about perfect. The rooms are big and comfortable, ours had a gas fireplace. The common areas are beautiful and historic and the breakfast is one of the best we found anywhere, your choice of two entrees and a buffet including scones or bread pudding or croissant and cereal and juice and ... well the...

We had a wonderful stay in the Newport 7 room. This inn is beautifully appointed. Rooms are large with 4 poster beds and very comfy mattresses. A fireplace in every room and exceptionally clean. Breakfast is outstanding and the afternoon tea adds to the ambience of this lovely inn. This is a must do when staying in Newport. Great location...

We appreciate you noticing all of our small touches around the inn and glad you like our new mattresses. Isn't the inn so cozy & relaxing in the winter with the fireplaces going? Hope to see you both again at the Malbone House. Will

Returned again to Francis Malbone for a winter weekend. Always take the Benjamin Mason house as it allows for a private stay with friends or family but also includes the perks of the main house like the delicious breakfasts and the afternoon tea. Love Newport in the winter!

We have been starting our Christmas Season for the past 8 years with a Newport visit staying at this beautiful Inn. As usual it was wonderful, beautifully decorated for Christmas with fireplaces warming many of the rooms. Afternoon Tea is always outstanding with great homemade baked cookies and cakes and a wonderful pear crostini served one afternoon. Tea menu changes...

Our only regret was that we stayed only 1 night at this lovely inn - from check in to check out they provide excellent service. The inn is in a beautiful old home that has been fully restored & modernized; there's no need to worry that you will be in a dowdy old house. The rooms are spacious, comfortably furnished...

Located in the heart of Newport this Inn is the perfect weekend retreat. The garden suite was spacious, featured a gas fireplace and was the perfect place to relax. Breakfast was restaurant quality. An unexpected bonus was afternoon tea. The staff laid out a generous spread of sweet and savory treats which we enjoyed in front of the roaring wood-burning...

My family and I just spent 2 nights at the Francis Malbone House in Newport. We felt as if we had just stepped back in time. The details of the period are found in every room. We loved the fireplaces and the history of the building and how it has been preserved. The staff was friendly and professional, and made...

Like going back in time, the house was absolutely beautiful. Conveniently located on the Newport harbor, walking distance to ocean, shops, restaurants and their own parking in the rear. Tea time with assorted pastry each afternoon and delicious breakfast each morning. Huge fireplaces and beautiful garden. We absolutely loved it!
