When I arrived I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff. After checking in I was taken to a good size room that had sparkling wine a cheese platter and fruit waiting for me. Every night freshly baked cake or cookies were beside my bed. The most impressive thing about the hotel was the staff, each and everyone was...

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Vanderbilt Grace, nothing like staying in a mansion for a special occasion. We stayed in the dead of winter on what felt like the coldest day of the year, not quite Newport vacation weather, but we managed to enjoy our time thanks to the wonderful staff and lovely hotel. It is pricey, but worth...

The best part of our stay was the staff and the historic charm. The staff went out of their way to say hello, make sure we were comfortable, and offer complimentary tea and drinks as we relaxed by the historic fireplace. That, combined with the common area decor and conservatory (breakfast and lunch room) really made the hotel worthwhile. We...

My husband and I stayed at the Vanderbilt Grace for our wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect from the moment we entered. We were greeted warmly and promptly checked into our suite, where champagne was already being chilled. Throughout our weekend, we had dinner at the restaurant, drinks in the bar, and spa treatments. All were amazing. We loved it so...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and spa. It's walking distance to all of the shops and best eateries, whether a waterfront seafood dinner along Thames / America's Cup Blvd / Bowen's Wharf, brunch at one of the many cafés along Broadway, or drinks at one of the many bars on Thames or Broadway. The room we had...

We recently stayed at the Vanderbilt Grace for a two-night stay in Newport. Checking in was easy and everything went smoothly. We were shown to our room which was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location which was a huge plus. We could walk to everything within two minutes of leaving the hotel property. On the positive...

After a day in Newport decided to have afternoon tea at Vanderbilt Grace after seeing it featured on Chronicle. Upon arrival at 3:15pm we asked the hostess if we could have the afternoon tea, at which point she asked if we had reservations as they were required 24 hours in advance to prepare finger sandwiches. We told her we came...

We were willing to splurge for this very special visit in September 2016 as we traveled to Cape Cod to get married. And the premium we paid was definitely worth it. We chose a two-story suite with two bathrooms. (I've never had that option before.) The first floor had a seating area with a couch and two upholstered chairs; mini...

What a fantastic hotel! Set in a beautiful Newport mansion, the building and hotel design is stunning. Wonderful preserved and restored historical features with modern fittings for a luxurius stay. Not only are the rooms beautifully designed, but as are the shared spaces. The rooftop garden/bar has stunning views, the light airy breakfast room, and the cosy piano bar for...

The long and short of my story is I was able to stay one night in a hotel room that I would never dare to pay so much for. The hotel was magnificent and echoes the grandeur of mansions down the road that hold the same family name. The staff were very welcome and friendly. The room itself was magnificent....
