We were a bit early for check in, but found no one at home. The general appearance is of a pleasant hotel, although it could do with a good clean. Cobwebs in the room and dirty marks on the bedspread. Breakfast was not satisfactory: day 1 we were told to help ourselves no staff were present. we found two pots...

The staff was friendly, but either incompetent or did not care. I think a combination of the two. The cleanliness of all areas was marginal, at best. We arrived mid afternoon and the A/C unit was not turned on in our room - old style window unit. The hall and bath were not air conditioned. Not a great way to...

Stayed in the hotel on the back end of our holiday through New England for two nights. The hotel is in a great location close to the waterfront and restaurants but accommodation is mediocre for the price. TV didn't work on first night, free WI-FI didn't work in room at all and breakfast was practically non existent on the second...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Not everyone here is completely incompetent. Tim seems like a good guy but Ray is completely ignorant on how to run a business. The entire deposit was paid upfront 16 months ago for all three houses. Every room. He rented out the BRIDAL SUITE to someone else and had no...

Last summer, 2014, we happened to stop by Pearl's while searching for a place for all the attendants and our family to stay for our daughter’s beautiful Newport wedding. Ray, the owner, did a great job on selling us on the fact that his three buildings (15 rooms) and large garden would be perfect for us all and would be...

This place is disgusting. Would not trust owner! Has zero regard for guests. Amenities are better in India! Avoid at all costs. Should be shut down. Rooms booked (security deposit ) seven months earlier - cancelled that day! Ruined wedding for family! Had to call police to get refund. Worst ethics - Gardner checks u in! Dirty rooms - probably...

This is an old house turned into a bed and breakfast at a minimum or absent investment. In our room paint is falling off and the bathroom and shower is exactly like an ild bathroom you would find at an old style house. No investment whatsoever to make it look more like an Inn than a normal old house! Breakfast...

The positive first. The location is great and within walking distance of all of the shopping and restaurants. The house is charming-the exterior, that is. The negatives, however, are overwhelming. Neglect is evident everywhere. Lightbulbs are out and the interior is dark. The furniture and art are not era appropriate and are awkwardly sized and placed. The breakfast was boring,...

Dishonest, disrespectful, thieving management!!!! I attended this hotel as part of a wedding party in June, when I arrived with a walking disability they notified me that my room was on the third floor, and they would not move me. We had to share a bathroom with two other rooms that led to problems at night, before breakfast and any...

The entire hotel was reserved (and paid for in advance)for a bride and groom, their parents and some guests. Unbeknownst to any of them, Ray, the owner sold one of the buildings and when people showed up they were told they had to go to places he had found for them. Needless to say the places were horrible- one room...
