This hotel was nothing like any of the pictures posted online except in some reviews where people told the truth. Our first clue should’ve been the old Rolls-Royce parked out front with a dry rotted rubber tires. This is the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I travel a lot. Thank God we only stayed one night. Everything was sticky it smelled moldy and smoky. The windows were so dirty you could barely see out. Parts of the shower broken. The beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were something left over from the 1960s small worn out foam with no support. The beds had no mattress pads and I slept on top with towels under me because it creeped me out just thinking of the lack of barrier for what could possibly be on the mattress. Nothing in the hotel was updated everything was old worn out or dirty. I wouldn’t give it any stars if I could if you’re staying in Buffalo stay at someplace reliably nice. My sister-in-law‘s room didn’t even have a security latch on the door. Ours was missing smoke detector. I don’t even think that’s legal. Read all the reviews and don’t waste your time or money here.

While still under renovation, the staff there are friendly, and the location is really great. Harry, the owner was really accommodating with guests with electric cars. It is really convenient for visiting Buffalo inner harbor, and a short distance walk to downtown.

Our room was broken into multiple times last night while we were inside it attempting to sleep. Whoever is doing it has no regard for whether you’re in the room or not, they fly down the hallway opening doors and turning on lights attempting to find a quick score. Do not stay here. Under any circumstances. Ever. Go Bills!

The hotel is run down and old. The elevator didn’t work, then when attempting to take stairs exits to others floor were locked. The rooms looked like a serial killer had stayed. Stains on carpets and chairs. Outlet in bathroom broken. Paper towel in the tissue container. No fridge, no complimentary coffee. I saw no bugs and the bed was clean.

I'm not one to give bad reviews, and I pride myself on giving the most honest and fair reviews. That being said... This is absolutely one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The only thing going for this hotel is the location. Do Not be fooled by the lobby, or bar in this hotel. It will make you believe you are in for a fantastic stay, but the minute you walk to the guest room elevators you will quickly realize this hotel is not only dirty, falling apart, but being greatly mismanaged and neglected by the staff. Rooms: The 1st room, 345 was handicap accessible, view of the parking lot. We were shocked by the condition of the room, from the smell, to only 2 small pillows on a king size bed. The thing that made us have to switch rooms the first 10 minutes of being there, was after we flushed the toilet, the tub started filling with water and would not go down. The 2nd room, 820, had a better view, but the bed look like they just threw the sheets on it. The drain in the bathroom sink was clogged, the tub had a ring around it, and there was used soap from the previous guest in the tub. Clearly, the tub/shower was never cleaned by the staff which the huge stain in the middle of the tub proved. Both the microwave and refrigerator were missing, the carpet and sitting chair had noticeable stains, and broken tv remote, alarm clock, and furniture. At this point, we decided that we were only in Buffalo 2 nights, we would clean the room ourselves, since it was the holiday weekend and hotels were limited. Thankfully, the mattress in the room was at least comfortable. Other Issues: None of the ice machines were working on ANY of the guest room floors. You could only obtain ice from a staff member at the front desk who had to go behind the bar to retrieve it. The staff was unorganized, not helpful on occasions, and truly did not seem to care about the upkeep of the hotel. There was never a real presence of staff working other than at the front desk. Overall: This place claims to be under new management. Well if that is the case, they need to renovate, revamp, and restructure this entire hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. The location of this hotel although great, is not worth the price. Take your business elsewhere.
