I don't often write reviews but our experience was so terrible I felt compelled to warn others. If you expect a good night sleep, book elsewhere. The street noise was was almost beside the point. The real problem was the heating system. When we checked into room #42 around 4pm the gas pipes running down the wall in our room...

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at the Weatherford. Room 46 was one flight up and very spacious and comfortable. There is no elevator, but staff were very friendly and helpful and carried our bags up to our room. The Weatherford makes it clear on its website that it is an entertainment hotel and can be noisy. We were there...

If there is only one room left, and it is #39 - the most expensive room - take a pass. We've enjoyed previous stays at the Weatherford in other rooms but not this time. Disappointing, because we were on the last night of an AZ birthday road trip and expected more - especially for the $175 + tax rate. We...

Hi Marian, I apologize that your stay was not what you expected, especially as a returning guest. Since the renovation, we have found that some of the faucet handles were defective even though they were installed properly. We are replacing them. As far as the light on the heating/air conditioning unit, there's a button on the remote that turns the...

Stayed here with 2 other friends. Loved the beautiful historic hotel. But we needed a lot for the 3rd person which was uncomfortable. Then after the bar closed on our floor it was still noisy, not sure if this was from the lower bar or the people partying outside. There was a argument at 0300 in the room next to...

On a positive note, we are happy that you loved the building! Unfortunately, we can't control the noise within the building or outside of the hotel. We do our very best to inform guests that we are an entertainment hotel and go into depth in our policies, but that doesn't always resonate with everyone. However, if there was a challenge...

This Hotel is an original piece of the Wild West... that said its cool to stay here if you can accept some of the following conditions.. many rooms have a shared bathroom, the Zane Gray Bar on the 2nd floor can be rather loud, and this is an Old Hotel Setting, not new and glamorous. One can get the feel...

Thank you for your comments! Out of the 17 rooms that we have, only 3 of them are "European" Style, that share a bathroom. The remainder of the rooms have their own bathroom. The building was built in 1897, and we are the oldest continuously operating hotel in Arizona! We hope you come back and see us!

Great historic hotel in Flagstaff. We were quite amused by the old-fashioned bell to summon the clerk at check-in. Our room, a suite really, was very nice. It did feel like stepping back in time. There is no elevator, but that is to be expected with an older building. The claw foot tub was another interesting aspect, as there is...

Hotel is historic. Rooms have radiant heat, didn't get warm. The room had no phone, no TV and the internet doesn't work on parts of the upper floors due to the density of the walls. The "free" parking is limited to about 6 spaces and the lot next door but you have to move your car by 8 am. There...

I was greatly disappointed by my stay in this hotel. I had been looking forward to staying here as it's a historic property with a reputation for being haunted. First off, the positives:the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. I also appreciated how beautifully restored the common areas--such as the lobby and the Zane Gray Ballroom--were....

Thank you for your comments! I apologize that your stay wasn't a great one. We try to educate all of our guests about being an entertainment hotel, as well as reminding them at check in, but it doesn't always resonate with our guests until it's happening. I do like the idea of robes, especially for the shared bathroom rooms! I...

We stopped in for a great lunch and found this great old hotel that had been refurbished! 4 bars it is the place to be if you want to take in a show or have a good time. Centrally located in town near the train startion.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Amtrak station for our late-night arrival and because the photos showed that the building is a lovely older style. We were very pleased with everything about our stay. Staff (especially manager Klaudia) were helpful and spent time talking with us about Flagstaff's and the hotel's history. Ate at Charly's dining...
