Great historic hotel in Flagstaff. We were quite amused by the old-fashioned bell to summon the clerk at check-in. Our room, a suite really, was very nice. It did feel like stepping back in time. There is no elevator, but that is to be expected with an older building. The claw foot tub was another interesting aspect, as there is...

Hotel is historic. Rooms have radiant heat, didn't get warm. The room had no phone, no TV and the internet doesn't work on parts of the upper floors due to the density of the walls. The "free" parking is limited to about 6 spaces and the lot next door but you have to move your car by 8 am. There...

I was greatly disappointed by my stay in this hotel. I had been looking forward to staying here as it's a historic property with a reputation for being haunted. First off, the positives:the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. I also appreciated how beautifully restored the common areas--such as the lobby and the Zane Gray Ballroom--were....

Thank you for your comments! I apologize that your stay wasn't a great one. We try to educate all of our guests about being an entertainment hotel, as well as reminding them at check in, but it doesn't always resonate with our guests until it's happening. I do like the idea of robes, especially for the shared bathroom rooms! I...

We stopped in for a great lunch and found this great old hotel that had been refurbished! 4 bars it is the place to be if you want to take in a show or have a good time. Centrally located in town near the train startion.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Amtrak station for our late-night arrival and because the photos showed that the building is a lovely older style. We were very pleased with everything about our stay. Staff (especially manager Klaudia) were helpful and spent time talking with us about Flagstaff's and the hotel's history. Ate at Charly's dining...

Located in the older section of Flagstaff this hotel is like stepping back into the past. Easy walking distance to the train station for the early morning departure heading east and shops and restaurants downtown. I stayed in room 46 at the end of the hall which was appointed with turn of the century decor, except for a nice flat...

We made a reservation through hotels.com and it was cancelled with no explanation. We are staying down the street at the monte vista. Hopefully, we have a better experience with a different hotel and a different booking website.

Hi there! I apologize for your challenges you had with Hotels.com. I'm not exactly sure what happened with your reservation, but my guess is that I had to remove a certain type of rooms from our inventory, specifically the Economy Rooms. That style of room caused a confusion due to the fact that those rooms have a shared bathroom. What...

You never know what to expect at old renovated hotel. We had one of the queen rooms, which was roomy, with good bed. I should have read room description more closely as i missed that it only had a tub (which you sometimes get in a renovated historic hotel.). Only problem we had was a lack of parking (only 7...

Hi Steve, I'm assuming you stayed in one of our vintage queen rooms that has a "sit down" shower in the tub. Our newly renovated rooms have the claw foot tubs as well, but also the stand up shower. I agree that parking in downtown Flagstaff can be a challenge! There is a parking garage on San Francisco St. a...

I picked this place because I was unfamiliar with the city of Flagstaff and we were arriving by Amtrac train at 10:00 pm so a place within walking distance looked appealing. We stayed in room 51 it was on the small side after being used to modern hotel rooms but was clean, comfortable and a good value. This hotel has...

We stayed at this lovely hotel for one night, and enjoyed the location, the history, the parking, and the staff. Well done! I would only advise that you stay on guard for power outages. Our room lost power several times, while the rest of the hotel was fine. Cold and dark was not how we planned to spend the evening....
