Suffice it to say, the room was clean. King size bed was comfortable for my husband and me. Water was good in the shower. Microwave available for any meals you may bring back from the local eateries. Heating unit was loud. We turned it on when we went out; then turned it off when we returned for the night. Slept...

Visiting Shenandoah for our first time. Planned in stay in Luray but no reservation. Found this gem. Very old but very clean. Loved the front porch. The weather was perfect to enjoy it. Walked next door to the Shell station for coffee as none was provided. Overall i do recommend it!!

Quick getaway with my fiancé turned out to be a very memorable moment due to the hospitality and pleasentess of this hotel. Close to luray caverns and a hop skip to some beautiful sceneries and wineries. The suite was very clean and felt like a home away from home except for an awesome whirlpool which we don't have the pleasure...

I stayed overnight at the Cardinal Inn as part of a hiking trip to Shenandoah National Park. Since we went in January, the Park's lodging options are all closed. However, the Cardinal Inn was so close that it was easy to get back and forth to the Park. Our first night, we arrived at the Cardinal Inn after the office...

We've chosen the Cardinal Inn on several occasions for our stays in Luray. It is located on the Shenandoah Park side-of-town rather than the Luray Caverns side (although Luray is not a large town). Ten minutes to Thornton Gap entrance to Skyline Drive. The room we've stayed in has been quite clean, bed comfortable; rooms have TV free Internet, microwave...

The Cardinal Inn is not a 4 star hotel but it is not intended to be. It is for a family on a budget. The rooms are dated, but very clean and comfortable. V.J the manager is fabulous to work with and just a very nice guy as was the other staff members we interacted with during our stay. The...

I was looking for a clean, comfortable budget place to spend the night on the way to Shenandoah national park. This place was fine, and if I had returned via Luray then I would have stayed again. The park is only 10-15 minutes drive away.

Our family reserved four rooms. Two of them smelled musty, one smelled like it had been "sprayed" to cover up smoke, and one (ours!) smelled clean and fresh. It is an older hotel but it served it's purpose. The water pressure was great and hot! Although the beds look like cardboard boxes, they were comfortable enough for us. The location...

My husband and I were driving through Luray. We stopped at Uncle Bucks for dinner. I used TripAdvisor and found The Cardinal Inn. We stayed in room 112. One King size bed and one queen. Just right for us. We took the queen and put 3 kids in the King bed. I agree with the other reviews regarding style. The...

We stayed at the Cardinal Inn for one night in early September after driving part way on Skyline drive. For a one night stay, it was ok and the rates were better than some of the other hotels in the area. It appears to be an older building with older furnishings, but the room was clean, though the doors around...
