Let me lay out the good things about Hotel Santa Fe first. Their Amaya Restaurant was great, food was delicious. You would submerge in their artistic atmosphere right away. We enjoyed all the artworks throughout the place. Perhaps we had our expectation a bit too high given all the wonderful reviews. First problem of such a nice hotel was that there was no coffee maker in the room. When we simply needed some hot drinking water, the reception told us that their bar can provide us that or there is microwave in the room. Then it happened..the bar said that "they didn't have it" (rude), plus there were no glasses in the room to use for water (4-star hotel what?). The second issue we had with the room was that their blinds don't provide enough coverage (see photos). When I discovered it I wondered how many folks already witnessed my naked butt... Lastly, it took FOREVER for the hot water to be warm by the sink...it was icy cold. We will happily try a different hotel next time. Not here again, thank you very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Santa Fe in the Hacienda. Comfortable, cozy room and staff who made us feel warm and welcome. We will be back again and again. Diane, Erika and Linda in the spa were so nice! So we’re Lakota, TJ and Rick. Thank you for a lovely Christmas stay. Olive T- Dallas

large family we booked two junior suites for one group with lots of kids. When we arrived the two suites - different floors and far apart. But management arranged a switch after one night to get suites next to each other. Made our stay so much better.

We began staying here in 1995 for our honeymoon. That time we stayed in the Hotel in a somewhat small room but extremely nice. We did not have rich parents to foot the bill so we went on the cost effective side. We returned a few years later for our anniversary, but to a larger room, we were given, compliments of the hotel for our anniversary, Champagne. Another stay in the Hotel another year then a stay in the Hacienda another time. This year, after having to cancel twice because of Covid lock down, we stayed in the Hacienda for our 25th anniversary, Almost two years late. Once again we were treated extremely well and champagne. Their free shuttle service is fantastic. Rick is a great person to drive as he know all the places to go. The food is great as is the Hacienda happy hour.

Our first visit to Hotel Santa Fe made us want to come back and we finally made it. We were prepared for the changes due to COVID restrictions (detailed on their website as well as discussed again with our registration confirmation e-mail) and appreciated the hotel reducing the resort fee. The shuttle service was again excellent - the drivers were all very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible in assisting us. This service is the best part of the hotel. We were unable to get an appointment at the spa (make reservations early!) so we do not have a review. While the hot tub and pool were open, the area is small and often in use. Our room, # 320, was nice: king size bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. The hot water took a minute or two to reach temperature. We had a small setting area with a small balcony. It was almost 75 degrees in the afternoon and we opened up the balcony door in the afternoon. Sadly, only one chair was available on the balcony. The room was non-smoking but others in the hotel and on our hallway were not, which was unpleasant when walking from our room to the elevator. During the evening, traffic noise was high. In addition, we heard the conversations of every group that used the hot tub, including a very intimate interaction of one couple. We do not recommend the bar or restaurant. The staff seemed disinterested in service, the prices were high, and the food was mediocre. Coffee was not available in the room. Complimentary service was only available in the mornings at coffee stations located near the elevators on each floor, but not at the guest check-in level.
