An effort has been made here to update a very dated facility. We only stayed one night and didn't take advantage of any of the facilities. A real effort has been made to make the rooms more contemporary but there are some problems. The dark color scheme needs better lighting to balance it. What light there is glares, as in...

The outside of the buildings had me a little worried, but once I opened the door to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. Contemporary and cute can only describe the interior. The bed was comfy and the shower had plenty of water pressure. Two very important things to me in a hotel room. And, the shower gels, shampoos, lotions and...

Had a great time at this hotel in Friday Harbor. There are bikes to borrow, a pool and a hottub. The facility is extremely well-kept and the staff were very accommodating. The place is a remodeled, older place, but the finishes were very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities were great - nice smelling soaps and shampoos,...

Very nice accommodations about 1 block from downtown Friday Harbor. They had bikes for our use and were super accommodating with anything we needed. Hot tub was indoors so a bit too hot in the summer but they let us open doors to get some air moving. They also let us borrow bikes for friends camping nearby, as long as...

The staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and we liked that we could walk to anywhere in Friday Harbor from our hotel. I don't think any of the rooms have great views but we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel so it didn't really matter but there were double doors that opened to...

We arrrived with a group that flew into the Friday Harbor airport. My elderly father-in-law accompanied us. He was walking to his ADA room with his walker when one of the housekeeping staff (who was eating lunch and talking to the other housekeeping staff) saw him and immediately ushered him to her car and took him to his room. We...

This is much more of a motel than an inn or hotel. that check-in process was fine our room was not ready but they held our bage so we could go explore. Our room was dark and the big window in the front opened directly to the sidewalk and parking lot so we had to leave shutter blinds closed the...

Hi Mandy, Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We try very hard on our website and in our confirmation letter to convey what exactly it is we are: A renovated motor inn with box like motel rooms (hence "Earthbox"). And you are absolutely right, our prices, compared to the mainland, are...

Candidly, stayed at Earthbox because first, second and third (B&B) choices were not available. Location is fine, just up the road from the harbor and right in the business district. Exterior and interior have been remodeled, but all earth tones which makes for very dark rooms and bathrooms. Rooms were clean and pool area was indoors and also well cared...

Friday Harbor is full of overpriced everything. And Earthbox isn't exactly cheap for a motel, however it's one of the more affordable options, and its amenities, design, attitude and location more than makes up for any pre-arrival feeling that you've had to pay more that you wanted before you got there. We borrowed the cruiser bikes for a delightful bike...

Our rental here was the house next door to the spa. Pros: Clean, great beds. Cons: Poor layout. No living area downstairs where one could stretch out and relax to watch some TV. The only such area was a small room upstairs with a broken down couch/futon that would seat two people. Only one full bath so four people taking...
