The cabin was nice, everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was great to reheat various delights from town. Wifi on this side of the island is pretty slow, you can't stream so if you want to watch movies, break out your DVD collection or borrow one from the office/store. We were here in the off season so we didn't...

Yes, our wifi is unfortunately slow. We have two incoming lines to try to offer the best possible speeds which are frustratingly slow. The good news is the island is currently installing fiber optics and we hope they will get to our neighborhood before to much time passes. Then we will have amazing wifi to offer our guests. As you...

New cabins with fireplaces, kitchenette, very cozy, huge picture windows looking out over gorgeous protected harbor and marina. Love this place and will surely be back again! Very helpful staff, coffee shop. Quiet and peaceful location, deck and grill, fire pit and places to clean fish and crab if you need that as well.

Thank you for noticing the huge picture windows. We wanted to have as much glass on the front of the cabins as possible for two reason. 1. To bring in the amazing view any time of the year. 2. To let in tons of light during the shorter days in our off season. It makes a huge difference in the...

Our family had a 1 bedroom, waterfront cabin. We loved it and will be back again. Comfortable! Kitchen works, but very basic. Store okay (better than nothing). Bring your own food and foil/plastic wrap/sandwich bags. Beds good, fans great, towels lovely. View is unbeatable. Very family friendly!

I can't say enough good things about Snug Harbor. It's a collection of new log cabins, which are anything but rustic. They are nicely appointed, clean, modern, comfortable. My husband and I stayed in a one-bedroom, with a nice sized bathroom and a wonderful sitting room/dining area/kitchen for three nights. The marina that is right outside your door is calm...

We used to call the resort, prior to our redevelopment, rustic. It was the nicest word we could think of for something a "bit worn and tired". We definetely no longer refer to ourselves as rustic. You have summarized my favorite thing about staying at Snug Harbor, sitting outside n the morning and watching the sun come up over the...

This is a magical retreat just hours away from Seattle that includes a beautiful ferry ride on a popular Orca watching route. The cabins are home away from home with full kitchen, deck/patio w/Full size BBQ, and the best place to sit enjoy the view and relax. I have a hard time unplugging but this gem makes you leave your...

We spent two peaceful nights in our warm little cabin, 2 Queen waterview, at Snug Harbor. The cabin was cozy with the gas stove providing warmth as the fall chill required. The interior of the cabin was welcoming and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds/towels. The kitchen was well equipped so that we could grill our dinners and eat in, a nice...

Thankfully, when planning a trip to the SJI, I relied on my niece who lives in Seattle full time. When pressed for "the place to go" is was a slam dunk - Snug Harbor! We arrived after a long travel day and checked into our cabin (a two bedroom, 1 bath) high on the hill. Our first impression was -...

We are thankful for your nieces recommendation and happy that you enjoyed your stay. We will make sure to add specific information in our communications to guests prior to their arrival about distances to town and the need to shop in advance should they so wish. Thank you for taking the time to visit us and for the review.

This place was a little slice of heaven. Nestled away off the main street you really feel as though you're the only ones out here. We stayed for just one night but it was more than i could ask for. The cabin is beautiful views of the harbor from every room. All the amenities you could ever need. Close to...

Spent a couple of nights here for our 16yr Anniversary. We stayed in a One Bedroom Waterview Cabin. We had just as nice as a view as waterfront, but a lot more privacy. The cabin was very nice and comfortable. We used Kayaks and Standup Paddle Boards and had a great time paddling around Mitchell Bay. We will definitely be...

We were looking for a spot to meet our kids and grandson to visit before their return to Maui. We choose Snug Harbor and are so glad we did!! We are so happy to hear you had such an amazing experience. We are a great place to come with children of any age. Between our on property options of kayaking, paddle boards and canoes, along with our expansive grass areas and the nearby hikes it is an active kids paradise. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
All of our 17 cabins and three suites are spacious with beautiful interiors, expansive glass, vaulted ceilings, full kitchens, and uninterrupted, stunning views. Snug Harbor's incredible setting is unparalleled on San Juan Island. Arriving by boat is always an option, since we have our own private marina. We are perfectly located for adventures throughout the islands. Once you arrive and explore the resort, you will discover the unique features, comforts, and amenities provided to each of our guests. We strive to make each guest's visit amazing and memorable. We offer four paddle boards, two kayaks, canoes and bikes for the complimentary use by our guests. Our own Mitchell Bay Coffee is open daily offering an array of coffee beverages, local pastries, waffles, soups, and more. And if you are looking for somewhere to host an event, our new events room with seating for up to 50 is now available. When you come to Snug Harbor be ready to detach a little. This is an ideal place to unwind and relax (while we have free wi-fi throughout the property and great cell phone reception, there are no phones in the cabins). Allow the peace and serenity on Mitchell Bay overtake you. We believe our guests have said it best. One recent Trip Advisor review stated "This place is truly paradise" and our favorite Facebook post simply stated "The cabins are epic". ... more   less
