This hotel was great, we went on vacation and got a history lesson while we were there. We loved this hotel. The down side was the beds were uncomfortable. The staff were amazing and answered any questions we had about the surrounding attractions and about the hotel.

We loved the history of the hotel and the view of the Alamo from our room! Parts of the hotel appeared to be poorly maintained (water leaks and missing plaster). We would love to visit again, maybe get a larger room.

The hotel was great. Very classic and lots of history. Room service food was not great. Pool area very neat and old fashioned as its in the court yard. The gym only had 2 working treadmills and free weights. Some of the other hotels in the area have a contract with golds and pay for you to attend there while...

There were several issues. Bathroom had long hairs in the corners. Brown stuff on toilet where the seat is screwed to the toilet. Shower curtain would hit your body during the shower because it did not have magnets to keep it adhered to the bathtub. This is unsanitary this is means this shower curtain has hit everyone who has showered...

I stayed at the Menger with a group. We had both positive and negative experiences. As far as the group sales, people were told early on that there were no rooms available in our block. This was resolved. But later our block of rooms was released before our contract date, therefore we had people in our group who had to...

With the name of Menger where better to celebrate then the Menger hotel. We had our family celebrate our 50th there 5 years ago and now returned as a couple to celebrate our 55th. We had nothing planned, but the staff and personnel were very much into helping us celebrate, from the front desk to food and beverage, administration and...

The courtyard and pool area are gorgeous as well. COLD a/c in the room, great window view for people...

This hotel is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Located in Alamo Plaza, across the street from Ripley's, Wax museum, next door to River center mall, and Starbucks. The hotel is full of rich history. Perfect for anyone who loves Texas history. Our room was located in the newer portion of the hotel facing the Alamo. When...

Nice hotel right next to the Alamo and a short walk to the Riverwalk area. Rooms were small with nice charm and high ceilings which does make the smaller room seem larger. Pleasant staff with good service. Loved the history but be prepared to see ghost tours in the hotel. I had no idea of the haunted hotel label. My...
