The Menger hotel offers a scrumptious brunch every Sunday morning and we have been going for many many years. The menu is always the same it has been for over a decade but it's a scrumptious menu with smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, roast beef and honey ham sliced upon request, an omelette bar, a Full waffle bar and much more...

This historic hotel is such a gem. The antiques throughout are beautiful. The service was also exceptional. I was there for a conference which provided several meals and the meals were very well done.

Best hotel I stay at once a year for business. The Collonial Restaurant has great food and is reasonably priced. Pool is heated year round so if you travel there in winter months like how I do it is great to use outdoor heated pool.

I love this hotel! This is my 3rd stay and I would go back in an instant! The quirkiness of the HVAC pales in consideration with the ambience, history and lore! There is always anew story to hear! I regret that I have yet to experience a ghost. Maybe next time!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, courteous, and prompt. We were told renovations were being done to the hotel. We didn't see any evidence of renovations. The hotel looked beautiful with holiday decorations up! Close to the Riverwalk and the Alamo! Great place to stay!

But if we ever return to San Antonio in the winter, we'll find a more "modern" hotel. We've been here many times in the past, but in a cold and rainy week in December we have been miserable. Rooms and public spaces are cold and drafty. Cannot get room temp above 68 ... heat doesn't click on 'til 45-degrees. That...

The hotel is personal and historic, which is always a bonus for a business traveller. The location is just perfect, right at the Alamo, and great for horse carriage watching. On the downside, the hotel is a bit worn out. Renovating a hotel and preserving the charm isn't easy, but I'd suggest the hotel owners to give it a try!

Thank you for your review. We are very close to completing the updates on all the guest rooms, the main lobby is next. We hope you will return next year to see the finished product. And, yes, it is a project that takes a lot of time and being a historical property we have to keep in line with regulations...

My wife and I were guests at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio. It has been recently remodeled and exudes the charm of an older era with the convenience of modern times. The staff take good care of you, and it is centrally located for many activities. We flew there and had a wonderful time without a car - San...

Was unable to get the room temperature above 66 degrees, so this made it very uncomfortable in the room. Location was great. Food quality in restaurant was average which was disappointing considering the price. .
