Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was average. I don't smoke but the only room left was a smoking room, it was what you'd expect from a smoking room but it still had a clean linen smell to it. The bed was okay. There is an elevator so don't worry about being on the 3rd floor. I would stay here again.

Reluctant to stay because of reviews. Pictures online looked good and didn't support the negative reviews. I took a chance but had a backup plan at another motel.
I found it to be clean, well lit room, new fixtures, LED tv, A/C that worked great with constant-on fan. The room reminded me of route 66 with metal furniture and linoleum floor. Staff was helpful. Rate of $34 was unbelievable (all others in area above $90) and convenient to convention center. But...there were a few problems. The in-room wifi wasn't working (I was told in advance so didn't try it), the wall mount tv was nice but programming was limited - no Fox news and no coffee pot. All said, well worth it.

Hotel a bit old and run down

The staff are all very friendly and do everything they can to make sure your stay is comfortable and stress free. They are also pet friendly which was a necessity for me because I travel with mine. The location is very convenient, having a gas station, grocery store, and several food options within walking distance.

Worst hotel ever. Room 224 in the back has a couple that screams all night long. Have gone to management and they don’t do anything. Rooms are nasty. Refrigerators don’t work. Mold in the A/C units. And when you ask to move rooms, they ask you to leave and come back after 3 PM. Have a video of the couple fighting. Can’t host here. Worst hotel in SA

Came to visit family. Checked in at 12:30. Front desk was super nice and friendly. Got to room. AC didn’t work and knob was broken. Went to bathroom and saw two roaches. Then saw roaches on top of microwave. Then attempted to make best of it and go to bed. Roaches came out of headboards. It was awful. 2:30am went to front desk and said we can’t stay here and got a refund. Again front desk was super nice. But room was awful.

Black hairs were all over both of my beds. My pillows were lumpy and as soon as you put your face on it you could smell the last 20 people. I ended up taking the pillowcases off 3 of 4 pillows, and bundling up the remaining pillow with all of the cases. I was too tired that night to complain. The door didn't have proper weatherstripping, so to counter the draft blowing in I had to leave the heater running all night (way too hot, but better than the alternative). Judging by the condition of the bed, I assumed that the floor had not been mopped in a long time either, so I forced myself to wear socks whereever I went in that room. I would never go back to this place again.

Stayed 7/8/15 - 7/12/15 for my daughters graduation from the Air Force. Upon arrival found dirty sheets, missing pillow cases, short towels and the dead bolt was broken. Following days maid service failed to empty trash and left dirty towels. Price was 102 per night and for a motel 6 would have expected better for that price. We found out latter they jacked up the price due to some convention. If my daughter graduated the following week would have been 62.00 per night so I paid an extra 200.00 for horrible service. Oh and the wifi is 4.99 per night and consistently drops. Did get them to refund the 4.99 and they admitted several others had the same issues. When talking to the management just got excuses. Will be back to San Antonio in October for her Advanced training graduation and this as all other Motel 6 are off the list. They should feel ashamed for price gauging that much.

We stayed at this hotel to attend our son's graduation from Basic Training at Lackland AFB. We are from Illinois and this was close to the base and a good price. I now know why it was a good price. The rooms were newly renovated, but the smell in the rooms was awful. I asked them about it and they indicated it was bug spray. We had to leave the door open for quite a while to get rid of the smell. It's in an awful location, next to an abandoned K-Mart with weeds. My first sign of trouble was pulling into the entrance and seeing a broken down car in a parking space which had obviously been there for some time. Most of the people at this hotel live there 24/7. The rooms were nice but the smell and the surroundings were not. Then in the morning there had been a car broken into and the police were there. This is nothing new they told me. I was also charged 2 times for the room 3 days apart on my credit card. They did refund the amount. This is a bad location, do not stay here. If you are going to Graduation at Lackland, stay on base. We did the next 2 nights and that was cheaper and much nicer.

Beds were small, tiny room. They didn't change the linen, make beds, really didn't do anything for you without asking. It was clean but no frills. Near 2 main roads so a little scary getting into & out of parking lot. Lots of eateries near with a good selection types.
