I have to fill 200 characters in this review and I don't know how to do it when all I have to say is I DID NOT LIKE IT! The guy in the front desk was nice, but the room had a pee odor the room was dirty signals of someone was evidently there early and the smell of tobacco little cockroaches I was too tired and I could not rest well :(

I booked the room over the Choice Hotels 800 number. My daughter had to stay an unexpected extra night at Lackland AFB and I needed someplace close by so that we could get an early start on our drive to her next base in Virginia.
I was quoted a rate of 53.95. When I arrived they had a banner advertising a 49.95 rate on Mon- Wed (it was Wed) I asked for that rate and was told I had to use the rate booked "on-line". I told him I booked by phone, but still didn't get the rate.
The room was roasting hot and the a/c took all night to cool it down. The upholstered chairs were so badly stained and torn that I doubt that even Goodwill would take them. The shower surround was newer but damaged by the faucet and obviously smaller than the previous surround, as the green board was visible between some trim and the surround.
The Internet didn't work. I could get a "good" signal but it wouldn't connect to the Internet.
The bed was comfortable and I slept well but breakfast was a little disappointing as the dairy products were not out when I arrived. They appeared when I was nearing the end of my meal.

This was the second hotel we stayed at while attending a BMT graduation. There were some problems that seem to happen that didn't set well with us. When we first arrived the staff/owner was actually pleasant compared to other people we had come into contact with in San Antonio. However when we entered the hotel lobby it smelled really bad of RAID/bug spray. This was not a good sign! But after examining the rooms they were clean and well maintained, so we thought okay this is great. After the first night we noticed a few big red ants near our nightstand, which our child left a soda can. We didn't think anything of it and tossed out the can. The second night we had some dinner in the room and left a small bag of chips in our luggage to our dismay we woke to a suit case topped full of big red ants that bite! And I was bite too, the hotel employee did not seem too concern either!! After calling the front desk their solution was to send a non-English speaking maintenance person over with a can of RAID!! No way, we had to get ready and did not want the room filled with harmful pesticides! We asked to be moved to another room later that day. When we did move we were given the room next door! We discovered that the refrigerator in the new room had leaked and created mold in the room, which it smelled pretty bad. Then we were moved over to another room which was clean and did not have mold! The owners children seemed to accommodate us, which was the one positive out of the trip. Granted it is Texas and big bugs are not unheard of, however if they had regular pest-control it would make this hotel a lot more pleasant.

Musty smell to room. Found 3 cockaroaches first night! Cleaning people came into room to empty trash, take towels but didn't actually clean room or leave new towels! Office gave us 2 towels, no wash cloths or hand towels but was told they were washing and available in morning...we were leaving in the morning. Was also told that they only clean on the 3rd day which would explain why we found human hair in bed! Will not return here again...

The workers at this hotel are extremely nice. I’m not too familiar with the city but they were so helpful with making sure my visit to San Antonio was great. Pointed us to amazing restaurants in the area and other fun things to do. Sea World was pretty close and my kids loved it. The rooms were always cleaned and comfortable. My family and I enjoyed it so much. We will definitely be staying there when we visit again.

This place is arguably better then the holiday inn. It has great prices and the staff is willing to clean your room whenever around the clock. I’ve been here a week and so far so good. Very comfortable and the rooms are great. Very clean as well.

This hotel was terribly over priced and filthy. It had ROACHES and we had to go get the staff to exterminate the first night we were there and he was like oh well...Paid $30 extra for my dog to stay when the room already smelled like animal urine and the floor was damp near the door with pee. The "long-term" guests were pigs and the staff did a poor job of controlling them or picking up trash after them. It is a shame we had to park far from our door due to the broken down vehicles parked in front of our room. The glass, trash, and thousands of cigarette butss on the ground really made it even worse. The gross hole in the wall where is roaches were coming is pictured. My poor dog could smell the urine in the carpet and wouldn't walk in half of the room. I complained to corporate and the sent ti to the branch owner, she offered a partial refund but never did go thru with it. I will NEVER stay in another choice branded hotel!

We booked one of the last non-smoking 2 double bed rooms, so perhaps it is a room that isn't frequently used. But there were dead and live cochroaches in the room, the sheets and pillowcases had the name of a hospital stamped on them, half of the lightbulbs were out, the walls and light switches were disgusting, and the inside of the toilet was black as though there had been reoccurring plumbing issues.
Our room was beside a stairwell, and even at 1:30 AM, it sounded like there was a party going on about 6 inches from our heads.
I will say that our room's air conditioning worked extremely well.
We remained there for perhaps 15 minutes before talking to the staff, who kindly understood and gave us a refund.
