This Hilton is surrounded by other big name hotels. However this hotel offers all the benefits of the Hilton brand but is a stones throw from SeaWorld. The hotel is very clean with an excellent staff. From the minute you walk in the staff is there to serve with a smile. They have breakfast (omelet's made to order) in the morning, and bar/evening food service starting at 16:30. I see there was a review that said the housekeeping was not adequate. They don't clean the rooms daily but if you need it daily just let the front desk know and they will be more than happy to take care of your request. I'm here for business and hade some requirements that the manager worked with us for rate/conference rooms etc.. and For me, this is a nice hotel and the staff really bumps it up a notch.

The hotel’s restaurant has a nice vibe, and the food is delicious too. My compliments to the chef for the food’s quality and presentation. Kathy, the restaurant’s supervisor, greeted us every morning and made sure we were taken care of. Over our 3 days stay, we got to know our server, Mayra. She is so friendly and always has a smile. She made us feel so welcomed. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. The internet connectivity and speed were disappointing. We couldn’t connect to the hotel’s WiFi from our room and had to go to the lobby to connect to the pool’s WiFi. Don’t count on the hotel’s WiFi, if you have to work from your room. The digital room key was spotty and had to be reset a number of times.

Location was the best thing. Breakfast was over priced especially considering most hotels include the type of food they served with a normal stay. We were led to believe stays less than five nights would receive daily maid service and that did not happen. I expected a little higher overall quality from a Hilton property.

Thank you for your feedback. For your comfort, we want your stay to be as undisturbed as possible. Guests are invited to tailor their housekeeping services to their comfort level. To schedule, simply call the front desk. Additional amenities such as linens and toiletries are available upon request, delivered in protective packaging, and placed at the guest room door. This is an outstanding hotel. Several pools on the site, decent gym and good restaurant. They recently changed the menu at the hotel. They now have an excellent pork chop, chicken and mushrooms and a great meal with shrimp and noodles. The staff is great. Myra and Carlos are great in the breakfast area. Fernando and Catherine are outstanding servers at the bar / restaurant. Kathy is a diplomatic and effective manager. All are friendly yet professional. Erik addresses any issues we have quickly. The hotel is located very close to Sea-world and families often stay there.

We are staying here now. It is awful. I have never, ever had bed bugs in a hotel until now! So gross! We reported to the front desk...while they did move us rooms, and "graciously" waived there absurd $19/day parking...just didn't seem like enough to have blood sucking bed bugs biting us all night.
As for the "shuttle" to sea world, it is a small passenger van that can barely take a third of those waiting for it. We ended up just paying for Ubers which totally defeated the purpose of staying here.
The hotel pool (or 3 pools they claim) is really one location with a small pool that has a barrier separating a small child's pool and a hot tub/spa, together would make maybe a regular sized pool, certainly nothing elaborate.
Property is ok, and I can confirm the musty smell on most floors that others mentioned - not awful but there.
I wish we would have stayed elsewhere!

The place has no hairdryers in rooms even though requested service at entry is rude and disrespectful no info given or in rooms as to wifi food. Rooms are old and not homey in anyway. No undercover parking but 17.00 per day charge no security very noisey. Wouldn’t stay again. Rooms are like low budget hotels. No extras.

We are genuinely saddened to read about your experience. All of our rooms have hair dryers and regret that yours was missing, and we didn't have the opportunity to fix this for you. We do provide a Welcome Letter to all guests at check in and have a QR code in each room to scan that provides details on the property. We're very sorry that these were not brought to your attention. It's disappointing that you must have been in one of our older rooms. We are just completing a multi-million-dollar renovation of all guestrooms and public space. It appears you may have been in one of the last rooms to get redone. Our guests have been very complimentary about the changes in the rooms and it's unfortunate that you didn't get to experience this. The renovation has created some noise issues and we do apologize for that. Fortunately, that issue will end shortly. Regarding parking, we do charge for self-parking in our open lot. This charge allows us to provide security gates at our entrances/exits with license plate readers so that we are always aware of who is on our property. It also supports the multiple camera security system on property and our security staff. Although you didn't notice any security, we definitely do have this in place for the safety of our guests. We're also sorry to hear about the issues with the service as that is not what we expect from our staff and will certainly address this immediately. Despite your disappointment, we sincerely hope you will consider us in the future so we can provide a better experience.

I rate this a 1 here is why ... we booked months in advance BUT they done pick your room till the morning of your stay so we were told this when I asked why I have the crappiest room at the hotel.. I called months in advance to make sure that we at least had A view for the money that we were paying per night we also were told that they do not clean our rooms unless we’re staying five days or more we had to ask her own towels and a Refrigerator. There also is zero food offered at this location we had to door dash for the very first time because we didn’t have a vehicle. They offer pop tarts and honey buns and zero drinks for people that don’t drink coffee like myself You would have to purchase it.. This was a very disappointing stay at the Hilton for the money that you spend per night So be prepared for all of this when you stay at this Hilton

I stayed at the hotel for three nights this week on a business trip. Upon arrival, I found the room clean, enjoyed having a refrigerator which are not in many Hilton location's rooms. The breakfast was nice, but I have an issue with the new Hilton policy of providing a daily food and beverage credit in lieu of a free breakfast. The credit is $15 daily. The breakfast costs $19 plus tax. I pool area was relaxing. My main issue was the hotel's housekeeping policy. First, I do not agree that a Hilton Resort property should only provide one full cleaning every 5 days. Given that, they did have options to get trash emptied, towels, etc. However, when I requested same, I was told I could not get the trash emptied since I did not give 24 hours notice. I asked how I would have known this 24 policy. I was told it was in the letter handed to me at check in. I then asked as a Lifetime Diamond member who uses contactless check in (don't stop at the front desk) how would I have known of the 24 hour policy. The answer? You cant have service without requesting at least 24 hours in advance. This is not fair for guests who use digital key and do not visit the front desk. This bad policy combined with no communication thereof had me drop my evaluation from 4+ stars to 2 stars.

This hotel just wasnt for us. it felt far shabbier than the official photos and the service was not up to Hilton standards. If you just want a room with no frills then maybe its fine. The restaurant in particular had terrible food we had bad experiences with the servers. I am Gluten free intolerant and get quite sick if I eat gluten and the server seemed to first scoff at me when I asked if something was gluten free and then said yes even thoughI was pretty sure it wasnt. When I asked her to double check as it didnt seem right she rolled her eyes as though I was being difficult. She did come back ten minutes later and said after asking the chef it wasnt. On another occasion I asked another lady if we could sit in a booth (which was laid up) as the chairs were so uncomfortable. i was told booths are for people drinking alcohol only - it was 8am! I then politely enquired if I could have a chair from another table and was told NO, i then asked if i could use a cushion from the sofa nearby and again was told NO but in a very dismissive way. I felt the servers didnt think outside the box and didnt seem to have any hospitality graces at all. When I asked on reception for some recommendations for restaurants and things to do locally the person had no idea of anywhere. I wasnt being awkward and was asking everything politely and it just felt very frustrating. The rooms are quite large which was a plus, the wifi Ok but not great. but all in all a fairly lousy virtually zero "hospitality" experience.

I’m currently staying here, as I’m attending a conference at a neighboring hotel. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the front desk associate. The hotel is beautiful, has a rustic, yet elegant Texas charm and is in immaculate condition. I stay in hotels roughly ten nights per month, as I am an international flight purser with over three decades of flight attendant experience, which affords me the opportunity to travel all over the world. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly, from the check-in process to the housekeeping staff, to the restaurant staff. What I have found to be overly impressive, is the manager, Julian has texted me throughout my stay to ensure I’m happy with my visit as a Diamond member. It’s small gestures such as this, that make me feel valued. They go above and beyond and it truly makes a difference. Now a days, customer service delivered at this level has declined in all industries. Hilton San Antonio Hill Country is an exception. Keep up the great work! I will definitely be returning!
