Very clean rooms. Nice pool and spa. We stayed in several while in San Antonio and this hotel was the best. I will definitely be staying here again when we come back. There is also a nice gym area and it was close to the airport.
This hotel location was great. It was a peach area but close to all attractions soon to visit. Very nice hotel and family oriented. The only reason not a five star review is that there was only one working elevator the first day and there was no communication about it, so there was a wait with all the spring break families there. I know equipment fails but I just like communication. And also breakfast was not that great. The staffed who served breakfast was excellent, I believe one of their names was Yasmine or Jasmine. Last thing was at check in, it took about ten minutes because no one was at the front desk but after that it was ok.
We read the reviews prior to booking and they did not disappoint. Staff was friendly, helpful and always smiling. Free breakfast, dinner, and drink coupons for adults. Heated pool was a plus with hot tubs as well. Nice workout area for those wanting to get in a quick workout. Parking garage was secure, as well as the hotel. Great location too. Food was good for free hotel food.
Love this hotel! It's our go to when in San Antonio. The whole staff is very friendly but the Valet group is exceptional. Cruz is my favorite. He's always got a smile waiting for us! Highly recommend Drury Plaza!
Drury Plaza Hotel is across the parking lot (next door) to Drury Inn. It has a heated outdoor pool on the fifth floor that is currently not open (as of 2/14/21 due to the winter storm. We called 2/19 before booking to see if the pool was open and they said it only closes due to lightning...showed up next day 2/20 to find the pool was closed and had been for almost a week. Only gripe in an otherwise nice experience. Walked over to the Drury Inn and used the indoor pool which was great. Hotel looks nice and staff was great. Parking is free and is a garage comprising floors 2-4 with first floor of rooms being the 5th floor. The "Kickback" time for guests is every evening 5:30-7:30 and includes 3 drinks and food. The night we stayed the 4 food offerings were salad, penne alfredo, grilled sliced chicken breast and steamed mixed vegetables. They were only serving beer and wine that night but looked like normally they had many more offerings. Drinks are served in either a small plastic "punch bowl" type cup (single - 1) or a paper "small coffee" type cup (double - 2). Can have 3 singles or 1 double and 1 single. The breakfast was biscuits & gravy, sausage patties, country style potatoes and scrambled eggs. They also had oatmeal and fixins and cereal. There is no coffee in the room but I thought the coffee in the 1st floor food area was pretty good. I had a good size "suite" with sitting area and bed area that could be separated by a sliding door,2 TVs. Couch in sitting area was a pull-out and my kids slept on it. There's a good restaurant in the same parking lot called Embers. I ordered takeout, pizza and chips and queso and it was all awesome. This place is rated #3 out of hundreds of hotels in San Antonio for a reason, hard to beat what you get for the price. All employees wear masks and COVID protocols were in place so feels very safe.…
