Pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was for the price. Super clean and comfortable with many amenities. very convenient to navigate San Antonio and surrounding areas. The hotel was also recently redecorated.
I usually stay with the Choice Hotel brand, in rooms priced in the $70 - $90 range, but decided to give World of Hyatt a shot as I will be going on the road more often, and so far, so good. Here, I stayed in a fifth floor King room with a base price of $80. Pros: Poor wifi at many Choice Hotels was one of the main reasons I tried a new brand, and this free wifi was more than adequate for my Skype call and streaming my baseball game and TV shows. The TV was far nicer than I've seen in my Choice stays. Cons: I was surprised by the lack of microwave in my room, which was not a big deal for me this time, but being five floors up made for a long trip to the lobby microwave just to heat up some food. The breakfast was okay. It was water bottle and a grab bag with a banana and a fruit-filled breakfast bar. I wish they had even just few choices of pre-packaged items like I've seen at other hotels because I really don't like those bars.…
The money you pay for Hyatt place is not worth it. I used to swear by this chain of hotels but it has gotten worse and worse. Don’t get the 6th floor as you can hear the A/C units on the roof... if you are getting it for the pull out bed don’t get a corner room as it’s a pain to set up. The quality of the beds is terrible. The pillows are flat and their “complimentary breakfast is an underripe fruit and granola bar. Don’t waste your money here as there are other places that you will get more bang for your buck. Room rate was $176.00 a night and it was barely worth $95 a night. Could have gotten a better sleep at other places.
Thanks for the customer service, they have an excellent General Manager and staff. Due the Covid restrictions, breakfast is really nothing, but is part of the pandemic situation, rules and cares we have to follow.
Room was perfect for our overnight stay in San Antonio. Near stores and lots of food options. Staff was extremely nice and made us feel so welcomed. My husband and I stood with our teenage son and toddler. Room was safe for our toddler to run around, and our teen was comfortable. Would stay again when in San Antonio.
