WINTER ISLAND PARK CAMPGROUND: 2020 Reviews (Salem, MA) - Photos of Campground

We stayed here in the middle of August and were parked in front of the airplane hanger. The views were absolutely gorgeous and we loved waking up to the sea air. Now this is a parking lot but that didn’t matter to us at all. Sometimes it would get busy but overall it was quiet. The showers at this campground are the cleanest I’ve ever seen and the bathroom facilities were near by. Just a reminder that you need to go to a different location to drop off your waste but the directions were easy to follow.

Campground near Boston

This campground is within bike/walking distance of the Salem/Boston ferry. I spent a day on the Boston hop on-hop off trolley. Another day riding my bike around Salem. The campground has a bathroom and shower and is near a beach with a lighthouse

Cleanest bathrooms ever at a campground!

Had a very good experience camping here the weekend of Sept 13th. Grounds were nice. But really, the bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever used in a campground! There was an attendant there all day on the weekends keeping it that way. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful too. Great experience.

Beautiful views.

Beautiful view from camper. However this is not full hookup nor is there an on-site dump station. To get the beautiful views, you park on concrete parking lot near ugly hangar. Loud boat ramp and function hall, both of which stay very busy. Decent restrooms but only 2 showers for entire campground... remember, not full hookup! Close to Salem where you can ride commuter train to Boston. Also close to beautiful towns of Manchester, Gloucester,and Rockport.

Nice campground

My daughter and I stopped here for a night on our way home from maine. This was a beautiful Campground. One thing we didnt know was the fire regulations where you cant have fire on the ground so be mindful of that. They had decent showers and bathrooms. They had a small camp store on the property. There is 2 beaches on the property along with a great walking trail with information places about the history of winter island.
